How do you plan to make it through the 24 hour marathon? What games will you play?

I will be organizing some multiplayer games, but honestly, I'm gonna catch up on a ton of gaming during that time... There's gonna be so many awesome games out, I'm just gonna lock my self in the basement until I finish them all.... From 12:01 am Saturday to 11:59 pm, I'm gonna get two weeks of gaming in and help out a great cause.

i plan on starting and finishing resistance as well as mercs 2 plus multiplayer cod4 and maybe some gta can you switch to casual games like stuff on addicting games?? b/c if so than that would probably round out my day so my ps3 doesn't blow up on me lol

I bought Mass Effect and Crackdown today, and Oblivion a few days ago. I also have Halo 3, Timeshift, some serious Table Tennising to do, and some MotoGP 06 too.

Plus, if FarCry 2 comes out, I will be on that.
And Tiger Woods '09 if I pick that up eventually and secure the funds for it.

I plan on doing the whole 24-hours in on sitting. I'm thinking of going through Mass Effect all-renegade. I did the paragon route the first time through. Maybe see if I can pick up some more achievements. I *wish* Fable 2 was out before this even because I'd be playing that. My plan B, if I decide against Mass Effect, is to play 24 hours of SingStar in a live vidcast.... donations will be taken to make me stop the singing :-P.

I have a bunch of PC games I haven't spent much time on, as well as Oblivion, Castle Crashers, Burnout Paradise, Fable 1.... I shouldn't be busy those days, but I might have to make up some time on Sunday so I can rest a little. Gonna try to find as many pledges as possible though, it's a great thing you're doing.

My plan is to have my fiance take pics every 30 minutes to chronicle my adventure. Other than that I will for sure play MGS4 (I still haven't finished it, on Ch.4). Then I will probably go nuts with COD4 or whatever PS3 game at the time has trophies!

Right now, it depends on what my brothers do and what I have done. Im hoping I have Persona 3 (The Journey) done by then, but seeing how they are Too Human junkies and one of the 360s is on the main TV too (And I dont have the PS2 to monitor plug) that really is debatable.

What Im hoping to go for is Crysis more then anything. I have it, but I still havent played it through yet. Probably in the later hours of this Sam & max so I can play something not so twitchy....

...and if ANYTHING screams playing Sins of a Solar Empire with 7 other people online, this is it!

Finish bioshock, Halo and CoD Multiplayer and maybe buy a new RPG to finish.

COD4 MP is definitely on my agenda... for whatever reason, I still can't stop playing that damn game. I should have Dead Space by then (Release date now October 14th) and that'll definitely be played along with Too Human (Thanks to CPaladino of Gamerscoreblog) and then finish Battlefield Bad Company.

gonna invite my band over, since we're all gamers, and just have crazy multiplayer action for 24 hours.
Probably have about 3-8 people altogether for gathering somewhere for it, should be great fun if i can pull it off.

First off, I love this idea and I want to congratulate everyone that is already committed to it.

My idea that I'm trying to do is to get our friends over and just have a big gamer night. We are all busy with school but I think we can spare one saturday night here. I'm about to bring it up to everyone and hopefully we can contribute as a team. I would love to include my friends that don't usually raise money for fundraisers.

This is also a semi-personal thing for me as well. I had a friend whose father was diagnosed with Lymphoma last year. Back in January, I raised $4000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society and ran my first half marathon. If you want to check out some pictures from that event by the way, please give them a look. It was such an enlightening experience and meeting the people and families there sharing their stories. I was training for a full marathon in November, but I have been saddled with some injuries and might not be able to participate this time around. Seriously, this is a beautiful idea. And it fits perfectly into my charity ideals. I decided years ago to only support Law Enforcement, Fire/Rescue, Cancer, & Children's Charities... not that other charities aren't worthy but I only have so much time and money.

My Goal is to beat my personal game marathon record of 19 hours. This time it's for a great cause so it should be easy. Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata & Rock Band's endless setlist are going down... finally.:wink2:

Well in the next 39 days my plan is to try and figure out how the team of mariomarathon.com/ was able to broadcast their marathon and then I'm going to attempt to duplicate something smaller for the whoever donates for me. Before I say my plan, I just have to talk about this idea in general.

Normally, if something like this came along, like a tournament or something, I would let it pass. Don't get me wrong, my Dad is going through cancer for a second time right now, and I really wish I could do things like that, but I never do.

There's something about this event, I dunno what it is, that makes me just really want to participate. Considering that my Dad is going through cancer for a second time, and what we've had to go through as a family, just makes me want to step up and stop slacking on things like this. And I'm not even doing this for the gaming part. I'm doing it to truly make a difference and prevent things like Victoria's passing.

I am still awaiting permission from my parents, but, in light of our situation, don't be surprised to see Lilkuke on XBL all day on October 18th. I am so thankful for you guys organizing this event, and I truly hope we can all make a difference.

The segment of the community that I am looking to tap is an MMO community, and we all know how stereotypically addicted those folks can be.

I'm undecided right now, but one plan is to play new MMO Warhammer Online for 24 hours straight, with a blogpost every few hours on my blog about progress and what we did. It might be a good litmus test of how far I can level in that amount of time, and hope to get some support from guildmates and friends along the way.

That failing, I'd really love to have a way for people to communicate during the event, and while I know there are the disparate friends' lists and other such places, maybe someplace central, like a massive Google chat or other messaging client might help?

I'll be playing console games and PC games in shifts. I expect to do around 4-8 hours of WoW, 4 hours of Oblivion, 4 hours of Crackdown, and an 8 hour Half Life 2 marathon. Maybe some Team Fortress 2 in there somewhere, too.

I think my day's going to be taken up with CoD4 multiplayer, a little Guitar Hero III, and probably finally getting to my very-neglected Oblivion Expansion pack. I may see about a new game too, though I'm not sure quite what yet...maybe Force Unleashed or Too Human. I just wish Gears 2 would be out, because I'd be ALL over that for 24 hours!

Just a thought, and I'll admit I haven't looked all through the forums yet, but has anyone started a master-list of people's gamertags? Because I'd love to hook up with a bunch of people and see just how bad everyone's playing can get after about hour 16...lol! And it'd just be cool to hang out and play with all the people working towards the same goal.

Hmm. Well I was debating renewing my WoW subscription but then I thought I need to catch up on some other games, Ive played enough WoW for 10 lifetimes.

Well first priority is playing with whatever big SG PS3 games are going on.

After that Ill probably play some Dragon Quest 4 for DS, Megaman 9 for PSN, and then idk, well see what happens. Ill have enough here for 24 hours no doubt.

I just bought Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness just for Extra Life. You can spend 70+ hours on the side quest of the item world. Woohoo!

Don't believe in Energy Drink. Will probably go from Pop to Caffiene as the day/night wears on. My only break will be when I switch from 360 to computer (10 second break! Woo!)
