It may not be as popular as warhawk or as big as MGS4 but I think we should have SG Tony Hawk Proving Ground gamer night and also a monthly GTA 4 gamer night. I like the idea of gamer nights. Maybe when resistance 2 or little big planet comes out we could arrange mass PS3 resistance nights and LBP level challenges for people. Oh Frawlz, by the way, I don't think you'll have enough cash to buy either of these after you buy Rothbart his SUMO loung chair. I have one and they rock.:cool2:

For some reason, gamer nights don't seem to be very popular for the PS3.
I doubt a tony hawk one would work due to the game being very old and well.. crap.

Ifyou think you have a decent connection (check it first at www.speedtest.net) you could try and host a resistance night? Your welcome to give it a shot but you must be able to attend the night if you plan on hosting it.

Is 1MB/S good from 50 miles out?

The only reason why a general gamer night hasn't been popular with the PS3 was that up until recently, the PS3/PSN has been a pain to get online with friends.

Home, with its apartments where everyone can gather for a game night, enhanced headset support, and any other future features will help with this.

No its not that, its the lack of focus. The 360 gamernights were/are headed by the Doc, Dave, Lono and a few other of the bigger members here. Not many people had the PS3 back then, so gamernights on it were based on the occasional person who wanted to get together. For a while, Dark Sora had gamernights going, but that died down.

But if you check the PSN name list, there are plenty of members now so if we can get some kind of routine going it could be rejuvinated. Although, I doubt Tony Hawk will make it. Typical competitve games are party based. Think:

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Warhawk
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Gran Turismo: Prologue
Burnout: Paradise

and maybe Madden 09'

I'm ok with COD4 but thats about it lol. I spose tony hawk does kinda suck, but I would like to see GTA4 implemented in our schedule/rotor thingy.

Enhanced headset features? I'm in the beta and I ain't seen no advanced headset features!

I can happily host a gamernight anytime, just say the word.

I'm all for that.
But there isn't any party support on BC, so you can't really organise a game...

Well we could just have a squad of four guys, or two or three squads.

I'd be up for anything but heres a suggestion anyway, How about burnout/warhawk as they are 2 commonly owned games and as we haven't played burnout in a while:thumbsup:...

We could just do a few marked man events, some Freeburn challenges and maybe a few races..Then we would go onto warhawk and blow some shit up:lol:

The enhanced headset support isn't tied to a beta. I'm referring to the new official bluetooth headset and the accompanying firmware that'll adds extra features when using the official headset. I hope it also enhances the support for normal headsets.

Ugh, forgot the semicolon. :P

Photomaster sometimes hosts gamer nights, maybe he thought you didn't think they were very popular.

It wasn't actually meant to be a dig at anyone, I was just sayin' that if you say your hosting a gamer night you must be able to actually host it.
