They did the same thing with Army of Two, I don't know why they do it.

Yeah, i've heard about people having problems joining games so I guess this is true.

Yea, I tried to join Lono's game today and it said I was in the wrong region. I tried with my USA account and I had the same problem, so it must do it via IP.

Ugh EA you've done it again, give the people what they want.

From what I gathered, the segregation is based upon which retail copy you have, so if you have a PAL version, you can't join with others using an NTSC copy.

To get around this... you need to spend a lot of money.

As well as an American copy of Mercs 2, and an applicable Television (if you're not playing on a monitor) and a voltage changer.

Maybe another boycott/petition is called for, so Americans and their friends across the pond can come together in the destruction of Venezuela.

Why the hell does EA keep doing this shit? If they intend on playing the better connection card then why don't they just have an optional filter for countries?

I say mass e-mail the EA support line.

This really is pretty annoying. I have a buddy in Japan, if I get this game I cant play him on it! Who the hell else will he play? There are only a couple of thousand people who own an Xbox in Japan! Dissapointing.

It might have to do with the different versions of the game? The official german version for example has no ragdoll physics and dead bodies on the ground dissapear much faster. That might change the gameplay experience when playing online with ppl who have another version of the game? Just guessing...
