Ok, I got it for MGS4... but now what? I own/owned/played Uncharted, Eye Of Judgement, Time Crisis 4, Motorstorm, Folklore, Resistance, Rachet & Clank, Untold Legends, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Haze, Pain, Stardust & Eden... to name just a few. I've used it to catch up on my modest PS2 back-log. Hell, I've even dl'd a few PS1 games to play on my PSP. So, again, now what?

I don't give a shit about blu-ray... at least not until companies learn to use the media properly. LBP is still 2 months away. The real GT5 is... well, who FN knows? Online play pretty much sucks, so there goes most games replayability. So, what do I do with this giant 11lb black sci-fi obelisk? It's sad to say, but my Wii is getting more playtime these days. My PS3's only redeeming quality at this point is that it only cost me $400 for a $500 MGS4 Bundle. I really wanna love this monster, but it's getting harder every damn day.:sad:

oh, i have a 360... 2, in fact. had RROD twice, and while that sucks, they are still my primary source for games. I'm in love with all my systems, PSP & DS included, but I'm quickly falling out with my PS3. I'm not impressed by anything coming this year except for LBP. I hope it'll be enough, but what I really want(NEED) is the real GT5... then maybe I won't regret my purchase entirely.

I've played both PSN and Live and to be honest...if you take the postive and negatives of each, Live isnt that much better at all. At least not to me. Again, I say this with everyone who brings up lag...I hardly ever saw it, last time I encountered lag was a few months ago in CoD4....MGS Online may have had some lag, but I think it was Konami's crappy server set up, rather that personal lag.

Communication is only bad because not everyone owns a mic. Everything else is either out for PSN or in the HOME dl....and to look at the glass half full, PSN tends to have more respectful players...less bs whiney kids. That a postive for the higher price and not initial mic.

TO your question, what do you want from us?.....you apparently know what you want and you dont have it...we dont know anymore than you.

Gee, that's such a HUGELY disappointing list you mentioned... most of those games are absolutely garbage and I guess you should feel ripped off having played them all... I agree, i play my 360 everyday and even if i had a ps3 i wouldn't have any games to play on it, i mean I'M NOT BASHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but MGS4 i've never played the previous itterations so i'd be lost, and cod4 is on my 360 what does PS3 have NOW... which i believe is your question, LBP will be very nice, as will some others but right now it's a dud IMO

honestly I haven't experienced, in 3 years on XBL, half the lag I've had to deal with in 3 months on PSN, sorry.
as for the communication problems... it could be the lack of headsets or that the ones that are out there just plain suck. Socom should correct this... that headset is the only reason(value) I'm even getting that game.
and as for the morons i get matched up with, I can't really complain... you get that on either service unless your playing with friends and i don't have many on PSN. I'm just so annoyed with the whole situation... it's like the N64 all over again.
I got an N64 at launch with mario and waverace on a friday and returned it on the following monday... then waited a whole 2 years before getting it again. I fear for my PS3's safety.:grin:

You could, you know, try some of the 3rd party multiplatform games. Mercenaries 2 recently came out as did Soul Caliber, a bunch of sports games, Civ Revolution, Battlefield Bad Company, etc...

Disgaea also came out recently, but that's a niche game.

Replay current games, or play them online.

After the 360 died on me the day before Halo 3, I went PS3 preferred for all multiplatform games. The system is more stable, quieter, and has free online play. With the upcoming updates to the voice chat system the PSN will be even closer to XBL in terms of usefulness.

I really don't understand what you're looking for, then. Maybe you have a lot of free time, if you've had time to beat all those games in 2 months? Cause I've had my PS3 for a year and a half and I still have games that I want to play but I just can't find the time, like Oblivion/Shivering Isles, Uncharted, GT5P and Burnout.
About the lag thing, I live in Mexico and I rarely lag, I always play on US servers. You see, there's this magic number called Ping, the lowest, the better. You gotta know how to choose good servers.

Dude, I've sooo been thinking about that... my biggest concern is the langauge barrier. do you know if there is a way to find out which games have eng subs? I know that many of them do... and the bad/crazy translations are always amusing. I just don't wanna disconnect from a game because I can't understand the story.:undecided:

Don't buy both!

The day of the exclusive is nearly over, my friends. It's too expensive to develop for a single platform. Looking at kendecosta's gamer tag, his top five played games are multiplatform. If you buy a second system, you're going to be disappointed by the range of games available, because 80% of the games are available on the one you already owned. It is going to feel like a huge waste of money, especially as you've probably got a list of friends you game with on the original console. Of course, I'm only talking about the PS3 and 360 here, the Wii's off in it's on strange world.

In short: Second console, not worth it. Buy a half-decent PC, we've got more exclusives than either of your grubby low life consoles. ;)

From looking at your 40,000 plus point gamer score, it's very obvious that you don't like most of the 360 games either!!! You've played, what, five or six of them long enough to accrue even a third of the one thousand points (arcade titles excluded, and Oblivion most definitely owned)?

Perhaps it's just personal preference: When I rent or purchase a game I like to enjoy it, perhaps I don't do everything, or close to it, but I do enjoy it for awhile without worrying about when the next game I can enjoy comes out... I think maybe you just skim the surface of most titles (you've put in the same time I have on what I would call good ones for the 360, GTA IV et. al) but you've played another sixty games where (just judging from achievements mind you) you are all of 15 or 60 points in...

I'm a gamer that has all two and a half next generation systems, but I really don't buy that many games for any of them; I rent a few but I don't have time to sample everything. I still have a game I purchased last holiday season that I am waiting to get too in full. I wish I was able to play everything, but then (for me!) I would feel like I am missing out on the enjoyment of many games by just skimming the surface.

I understand your frustration. It is to bad you don't like Blu-ray becuase they look great in HD.

As a fellow multi-platform owner I see your situation as the opposite. I welcome lags in exclusives for systems, that way I can catch up on other exclusives for my other systems.

Both systems are going to have their pros and cons. you just need to decide if it is a system you want to keep and enjoy. You already have it so what is the problem. There are going to be tons of games coming out for it in the future. The ps3 is just getting started really. Not to mention that the ps3 will outlast the 360 in the long run as several developers are already having to hinder 360 games just so they play on that system. Its up to you man but since you already have one, I would be happy and keep playing it.

I didnt buy GT5P either. I didnt want to buy part of a game only to turn around and buy the same thing I already had again plus the rest of the game. So I am holding off.
