I'm kind of thrilled and suspicious at the same time. I mean, Sonic's been one of my favorite game characters since I was a kid and I think it's great to finally let players settle the "Mario vs Sonic fight" for themselves. On the other hand, IGN was the only one who posted this, so I don't know how accurate they are.

Just so everyone knows, I felt like this news should be separate from the Smash Bros update discussion thread because well, if the article is legit, having Sonic in the game is kinda a big deal.

So... what does everyone think about Sonic being in Brawl?

I mean, Sonic looks great in SSBB and I loved that they made his theme in game Live and Learn.

I think he's a perfect choice for the game. I mean, he was Mario's rival in the Sega-Nintendo era, he's been around longer than most game characters, and has great moveset potential. Who cares if the game might get delayed or not, I'm just glad Sonic made the cut.

I would like to see more throwback characters introduced in the game, like they are doing with Pit, Sonic, and Snake... we need to see Alex Kid and maybe someone like Bonk too...

they should put crash from Crash Bandicoot in it, I think he would be perfect for brawl. And Waluigi, also Leon from Resident Evil would be kickass. oh, and I would a ABSOLUTLY LOVE to see Bomberman in Brawl. Those guys would make this game even more awesome then it already is!
