Well I just got done beating Portal, and it is extremely fun, just screwing around with the physics is fun, the only bad part is the game is so short. I went straight through and it took about three hours.

But It's really wierd game :D

Portal is absolutely perfect although a bit short. But I think this is just something to get the mapmaking community going. I'm sure before long there will be thousands of new maps, and hopefully there will be some really good ones too ;)

But nothing. I mean nothing will ever top this ending!

I like the premise of Portal and look forward to getting into the game at some point in time...

i completed portal in like 2.5h the game is amazing liked it a lot. The only downside is that its way to short, hopfully the next one will be lot longer

Well aside from finishing the standard game, there are several other challenges you can try.
Aside from that it has an option to import maps, so that looks promising. :)

I definitely loved every minute of it. Very ingenious and original. Great job Valve!

Yah it has extras, but just playing with the portal is fun, I say 3 hours, but a chunk of that will be goofing around with portal chains and flinging yourself around the map, plus the turrets are always nice to play with.

What an Ending! That was cool.. Eding song is really good. lol.. Great game!

Im intending on buying Orange Box sometime in the near future.
I've seen all the trailers for the game etc. and it honestly just confused the heck out of me.

Basically it just a completely original game created by Valve but outisde the Half-Life universe, its just a fun little game that plays around with physics alot, i dont think it has much of a story to it, just pure fun.

Its just so brilliant! I love tossing myself around and listening to that creepy voice with malicous-hatred-filled-words! :D

I cant wait to get my hands on The Orange Box.

I loved when the voice told me that the companion cube would not talk to me or stab me in the back, however, if it does talk to me, I should ignore anything that is says. This game is absolutely ingenious... I may have to end of getting the PC version as well just for the user-made levels...

and you really have to play it with the developer commentary on, it was a lot better.

I passed portal like 4 times by now one of them with (dev com on and really liked how orignal their ideas are.) passed all advance maps + in the process of completting last few challanges.

Aperature Science Facility and Black Mesa were competitors.
It takes place during/before Half Life 1 where Black Mesa was destroyed.
