awesome song. The only complaint I have is my playlist named "Sarcastic Gamer" only lasts like 5 min with like 4 songs. If you could possibly make them any longer, would be awesome. Like your first song, How to kill your brand. It was the best thus far.

How can you hate on Wii after the rumor got released today that Mariokart could possibly come out by the end of the year (probably beginning of next year)? That would mean that Metroid, SSB, Galaxy and Kart would all come out within six months of each other. If that isn't a lineup to have multiple orgasms over then I don't know what is.

I must admit, I only own one Wii game, and that is Twilight Princess. The other "games" are Wii Sports and Wii Play; the former being a shallow piece of software that loses it's appeal an hour in, and the latter being a great way to get an extra controller when you can't find them unbundled. So what, you may ask, am I using my Wii for? Before owning a Wii I was Playstation all the way, so naturally I missed out on all of the games for Gamecube and even Nintendo 64. So instead of playing Red Steel, or any of the other celebrations of mediocrity for that matter, I've been snatching up wicked cheap Gamecube games. My favorite find so far is the Legend of Zelda Collector's Disc, which contains the games: The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. I'm currently working through Majora. So, it seems that for the time being I will be using my Wii as an over-priced Gamecube. Do I regret my purchase? Not at all.

Oh, I completely forgot to add that I loved the new song. As with Ring of Fire and No Fricken Games, it is already on my iPod.

how could you like a game platform for the value of non-existant & questionably entertainable games. I don't drive to work thinking about playing games 6 months from now. With that great selling logic, you should spread out to other francises:
"come down to mcdonald's and eat, but remember you meal isn't coming til '08"
"Buy a new blue-ray player, so you can watch movies just in time for christmas"
"PRE-pay-per-view boxing matches"
"get car insurance for you car while your at basic training!"
....or to jab at you orgasm reference...
"I love you so much, lets not have sex til new years eve!"

I think an extended version is more than being called for.

The only game really worth having a Wii for, sadly, is Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition - and then, only if 1) you "get" the controls and 2) don't have it on the Gamecube or PS2.

Still, for only £5 (after trading in the utterly disappointing Cooking Mama Wii), I got a very solid game, with content my Gamecube copy doesn't have - Separate Ways. I'd have paid that much to rent the PS2 version for that side mission.

I am far from married to my wii...if anything I'm married to my 360 because I have an HDTV and love xbox live. I'm just pointing out that having those four HUGE first party titles released from Nintendo within almost a year of launch is pretty much unheard of. Look at how long we've had to wait for Halo 3 and don't even get me started on how much isn't out there for the PS3 now or in the future. If there's one thing that I've learned in my 15 years of being a gamer is that you have to be patient and wait for the titles that are worth waiting for because unfortunately there's not a damn thing any one of us can do about release dates.

I must be the only one severely underwhelmed by a lot of Nintendo first party franchises... Mario Kart (while fun) is something I'd imagine is only fun multiplayer, and the VAST MAJORITY of my gaming is single player (Nintendo has far ignored the possibility of, you know, online gaming for multiplayer), Super Smash Brothers... um, I realize there's a huge following but isn't it just cartoony fighting? Never played it, never felt I was missing out. Metroid Prime? I've never played that either and probably am missing out there... Mario Galaxy? I await that with open arms.

So I'm left awaiting Mario Galaxy. Admittedly I didn't buy my Wii for me but my kids... but come on, talk about missed opportunities. I don't care if it IS four huge titles dropping in six months, is that enough? Get three of your friends together and pop in SSBM and play for a couple hours and then I guarantee you will never say "isn't it just cartoony fighting?" again. Yes, I thoroughly agree that Nintendo needs to focus more on online multiplayer because multiplayer is what set the 64 apart from the playstation. They've done a good job with Mario Stikers. I have it and play it online and it's fun and works well. I just really hope that SSBB will also be online even though they've said it might not be. And I've got no doubt that Mariokart will be online so that will make it 10X better.

As for Metroid Prime, you should really try it since you say your vast majority of gaming is single player. Now that the gamecube is dead (RIP), it has pretty much been agreed that Prime was probably the best game on the system and rightly so. There's no reason not to pick it up since gamecube games cost less than Virtual Console games nowadays *shakes fist at ridiculously priced VC games*.

I'm not trying to tell you how to game, I'm just stating that you've missed out on some great games.

Hilariously enough, around the time this song was being released to the masses, I was at the mall with a friend of mine who lives up the street. Said friend owns a Wii, and got it at release.

While at the mall, he's decided he's trading the Wii in for the 360. He hasn't played the Wii since February. It just sits there gathering dust. He's become really disillusioned with it. I'd offer to buy it off of him (cuz damnit, Wii Sports Bowling is STILL the shiznit), but unfortunately I don't have the money.

I'm going to go with him to the mall today to watch him trade in the console. I want to see how long it takes the clerks to pick their jaws up off the floor.

Nah, you're not the only one who is underwhelmed at the first party offerings. Mario Party lost it's appeal to me years ago, Mario Kart: Double Dash was fun but ultimately forgettable so I'm not really enthused about the Wii version, Super Paper Mario.. meh... I've never liked Metroid as a FPS, it just reeks of "hey look, we can make a Halo, too!" (seriously, look at the screenshots of the HUD on Metroid Prime 3, then look at the HUD from Halo 3.... uh, oopsie?).

Nintendo is being mum about a potential F-Zero successor, which, really, is the last first party Nintendo franchise I get excited about (to draw a comparison, I spent about as much time behind F-Zero GX unlocking EVERYTHING as I did behind the original Halo, including LAN partying). Likewise, Nintendo KILLED the Pilotwings franchise back on the 64. *sigh*

The only difference between us is that I'm not even enthused by Super Mario Galaxy. The one thing about SMG that struck me the minute I watched hands on videos was "my god, it's a game that relies on camera switching". Granted this is nothing new, but all of these stages shown, so far, remind me of every bad Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine level where you had to fight with the camera more just to be able to see what the hell you were trying to do. :(

People fail to realize that a four player Wii setup is $250 + $180... I'll be damned if I'm spending $180 on three more sets of controllers to see if some game that looks (somewhat) dumb (to me) impresses me... I can at least appreciate it's a good game for folks that like that sort of thing... to me, it's not gonna happen. I don't have three local friends that are into videogames that much.

Well then by that measure, there's only one ps3 song and only one Wii song. the other ps3 song is about games, and well, there really only is one Wii song. The other is a video for wii fit.

While I do admit to the fact that the Wii fit song probably doesn't count...

The 'No frikkin games' song was about the PS3 console not having many games... While the Shadowrun and and Halo 3 hoe down are about games, that just so happen to be on teh 360..

While I personally like the Wii (Metroid fan... nuff said), I thought this song was funny as hell....

That said, it's time for a new one... if you can, play Super Mario Galaxy... you will be thanking Nintendo for handing you a new parody/remix before you even begin playing. Trust me on this one. :)
