We've all read everything Doc has written thanking us for what we have accomplished, but what about all the hard work the SG staff has done? You guys have worked so hard to make this the monumental success it is. I thank you for giving gamers such as myself the chance to show just how caring we are. Your willingness to follow through with an idea is extremely commendable. I just want you to know how proud I am to be a part of this community and I thank you for everything you have done!

Let the SG staff know how you guys feel!

This needs to be thirded.

You guys are the best, truly. If it wasn't for you guys keeping this site so nice, no one would have been able to any of this.

And doc, You are the greatest hero of them all. Just remember that.

This is only the 1st year guys!
This can get bigger!!
If it get coverage from gaming magazines and the media this can be the tip of the iceberg.
100k + is incredible but this can only grow big ups to the SGC.

I know I'm excited about next year! The one thing I regret about this year is I didn't get my college involved. If I did that I bet we could have raised a lot more. But if we do this again next year, that will be my first order of business!

I wholeheartedly agree. The staff at SG are nothing short of amazing! And Doc, it's amazing how you got this community into something like this; something that started out so small, and will only grow as the years go by. :D

Doc's a modest guy. (cant say the same for Lono!) I can guess what his reply would be. However he still deserves many thanks for doing all of this as do all the SG staff and community. Good Job

I can do nothing but reiterate what everyone else has said. Great job SC staff. I can not wait until this time next year rolls around. Even though I'm still recuperating, it was an awesome 24 hours for an amazing charity event. Mad props all around!

I think that our participation has showed doc how much we really care and thank him.
Think of all the people who turned a blind eye to extra life. We are the unsung heros and doc was the wonderful catalyst that set things in motion. Victory is ours!

Just wanted to say that I have been a listener for a long time of all three SGC podcasts. Hearing the passion that Doc and the entire SGC community put in to this event was amazing and moved me to donate. Also, it made me want to be a part of this forum community. It is a fantastic thing that you are doing here and shedding a positive light on gamers as a whole by lifting up a cause that needs to be addressed.

The fact that something such as cancer bares its weight on the shoulders of the young is a tragedy and anything that can be done to find a cure is a deed for the good hearted. To push forth an opportunity for the entire gaming community to help these kids is noble and worthy of praise. Again, thank you.

Being a new listener to sarcastic gamer podcast started off as a great and wonder trip through gaming news and view points. However, when I went back to listen to past podcast, I was beseeched by Doc to give for Extra Life. It felt like my heart had been stepped on by cancer stricken kids, because there was nothing I could do about it in December of 2008. I already give one weekend every year to earn money for St. Jude Children's Hospital (send a me a message to learn more), yet here I am being asked in a kicked puppy voice to give. It felt horrible knowing that no matter what I did now; would hold no bearing as to the amount of hope and optimism in doc's voice when he learned the new numbers every day. So Doc, be very careful as to how you ask for donations this year because it could lead to some very unintended consequences. Like new people being motivated to give in 2009.

Sincerely, Mr. Rich (yes it is my actual last name)
