http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/finish.jpgI was tempted to put the Finnish flag in this banner, but I doubt whether anyone would have got it.

“I won’t let your readers read into the comment too much but we are showing the final battles of the Pacific and the European Theatre and that lets us put a close to the war,” said Call of Duty: World at War (http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/tag/call-of-duty-5) senior producer Noah Heller during an interview with OXM.

Well, readers shouldn’t read into it too much, but writers can. So, I now issue you with this plea: don’t hit the jump. While I can read into this statement as much as I want, you, petty filthy readers, can’t. In fact, I forbid you! While, I can’t actually stop you from clicking the oh-so-tempting, seductive, glorious sun-orange, ‘continue reading’ button, I can try. DO NOT CLICK IT!

See? So disobedient. You should be ashamed of yourself. Do you have no respect? Well, as you’re here, I suppose you might as well stay

In the very same interview as the previous quote, Noah also said:

“I’m sure game companies will be making World War II games for years to come and World War II is a very classic war. But we’re happy that we put the war to bed.”

I’m not sure whether ‘classic’ is quite how I’d describe World War 2 (’horrific’ might be more fitting), but at least we can all rejoice in one thing: no more World War 2 games in the Call of Duty series*.

Is it long before other series drop the World War 2 thing? I’ll forgive some titles such as Hour of Victory, because occasionally quality takes precedence over setting, but all in all I’m sick of World War 2 games.

*probably.

I think some things can still be done with WWII. But they need to be done by top notch developers and have a good concept.

That was three. Yeah, there can still be things done with it but I don't want to play the same exact thing over and over again.

I want some good submarine games, hell just more good naval games in general. And a wrestling game, tag team FDR and Churchill vs Hitler and Musselini.

I said it before and I'll say it again, theirs much more you can do with World War 2 then what Call of Duty or Medal of Honor (lol) is doing.

Their seems to be a lot of hate against World War 2 games, their are really only 2 major franchises that do World War 2 with every other shooter being modern basically. (I am excluding budget titles since those are useless)
