Recently the Ps3 had a software update, with that there were a few bluetooth headset fixtures. After the updat vame out, my headset stopped working, it says its on with the light and on screen, but i cant here any voices and other people cant hear me talk. Is anytone else having problems? Or if its just me, could someone tell me how to fix my problem. I have also been having lots of problems with sony hardware these past few weeks. My bluetooth headset is a motorolla h500.

What game were you trying to talk in?

You could try connecting the headset to the ps3 again

If reconnecting does not work, pick up the SOCOM bundle with the headset. The new "official" Sony headset is amazing!

Ya but I dont want to spend 60 bucks on an average game just for a headset. and it does not work in the resistance beta, thats the only place i tried. It registers, but I cant talk or hear anything.

@ shaha, how much does the official headset cost? Can I buy it without the game?

I'm having the same problem, I use the headset that came with Warhawk.

From another thread -Taylordotcom: It could have to do with the 2.42 firmware update awhile back. My headset used to work great until then. Now its too sensitive and there is an incredible amount of feedback. Im one of the lucky ones, some people have lost use of thier headsets entirely.

For more info, check this thread out:`http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&thread.id=3092610&view=by_date_ascending&page=1
As far as i know, there isnt a fix for this yet, other than buying a new headset, cause, well... mine is still broken all the way up to the new firmware.

Dont worry man. I bought my headset about a week before the 2.42 update and i couldnt even use it after that. If anyone knows how to fix this problem (other than buying the official sony headset) let me know. Sony should be adding headset compatibility, not taking it away.
