What’s better than a great AAA video game title? Besides Angelina Jolie, free tacos for life and a Lamborghini Diablo that runs on your sheer awesomeness? How about a great AAA video game title that comes with a whole pile of “stuff.”

Christmas may still be a ways off but the end of October and the month of November is really when gamers are getting their presents. Not only is there a whole slew of great games on the way (or already here) but for those of you who don’t mind coughing up an extra $20, you’ll be able to get your hands on some nice swag too. Seriously, what gamer could say no to a lunch box, action figures or comic books?

Whether the edition of a game you buy is called a “Collector’s Edition,” or a “Special Edition,” chances are, that the title will come with some extras. Extras which have been increasing in size by leaps and bounds over the last few years. I remember when getting a poster with your game was considered a great extra.

I’ve pre-ordered a number of titles recently in order to get in on the extra “stuff” that comes with the games. I know I’ll probably lose, or not use the majority of it, but I just can’t help myself.

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the titles coming out in the next couple of months that come with some great “stuff.”

Resistance 2: Collectors Edition

-* Chimeran Hybrid action figure with Bullseye weapon. ( I need something to put on my desk at work)

- Resistance 2 art book. (I likes me some pretty pictures)

- Exclusive in-game HVAP Wraith multiplayer weapon skin. (oooohhh my gun is looking HOT!)

- Copy of Resistance 2 with special edition cover artwork. (Good choice)

- A preview of the Resistance novel, “Resistance: The Gathering Storm” by William Dietz. (Hope it’s good)

- Behind The Scenes video of Resistance 2. (Hmmmm…)

- Resistance chronology video. (Nice touch)

- Digital copy of Issue #0 of the Resistance comic book series. (Hope it’s good)

Summation: You had me at “Chimeran Hybrid action figure.”
