... but love it nontheless?

Here's my problem:
up until about 3 years ago, I never would have imagined I'd be playing an FPS, let alone enjoying one. I played Racers, RPGs & Fighters pretty much exclusively... that is until I discovered Tom Clancy Games... Tactical shooters have now become my favorite and I usually excel at them. SOCOM: Confrontion promised to be a perfect fit... but "no respawns" in ranked is kicking my ass and my unranked skills are pretty hit or miss (sometimes I dominate, sometimes I don't) but I love this fn game.

My question(s):
Why do so many people(kids) think this is Halo? How do I get a game where my sqaud will actually work together and not take it too serious? Is there anyone out there that wants to play this game properly(but for fun) and help others adjust to the learning curve? It's a brilliant game... I just want to enjoy it with like-minded people.

I don't have very many psn "friends" so let me know if you wanna play sometime... just don't hate if screw up a bit.:thumbsup:

Its just takes some time I was starting to get good but then fallout and LBP came in the mail followed by R2 so i havent had a lot of time with it.

Quite frankly I suck at SOCOM:CONFRONTATION as well. I used to be pretty decent at SOCOM 2, but this title has turned my skills back to the dark ages. Definitely add me and we can play some S:C one of these days.:thumbsup:

P.S. I will not flame your skills if you do not flame mine...we can die instantly together!

there were some major server issues, and some still remain, but they've fixed almost all of it. the game is truely awesome... on average, it's just not bein played properly. It's not run & gun like halo. It's supposed to be precise and methodical... ya know, tactical. 4man squad, 4 basic compass points, clear your zone, move on, watch your teammate's backs... oh and only 1 sniper per squad. c'mon people, get it together.

I think i'm going to get the game for the headset. It would be a shame to buy a game and not play it so I would be up for playing with you guys. I have never played a SOCOM game so there is no way you will be worse than me. =)

You want to find a bunch of guys or clan that used to play socom 2, They won't play it like halo but they do take it a little too serious:lol:
