the title is the best play of words i could think of. anyway, i just found this article recently http://kotaku.com/5077581/activision-eyes-subscription-fees-for-guitar-hero-world-tour-user+created-songs
with this, it makes activision look very greedy and forcing me away from GH:WT. what are your thoughts if this comes true.

and for a second story, all the songs that recreate theme (i.e. sonic, mario, etc) are being taken off for copright issues.

if this ends up happening, It's over for GH:WT. The FREE music creator is the ONLY thing that game has over RB. And RB has tons of benefits in comparison.

Here's hoping it doesn't come true

Well if GH:WT's user made songs are like most any game with U.G. Content, 80% of it will suck. Charging for access to the 20% that may be good but won't have vocals isn't worth it. Espically if I can spend that cash on songs I actually know like My Poor Brain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Colour_and_the_Shape), Shoot The Runner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoot_the_Runner) or Why Do You Love Me. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Why_Do_You_Love_Me) Oh, wait. I can't since they are only on Rock Band. Screw you Guitar Hero.

Don't be that jerk that points out how Shoot The Runner was in GH:III. I know.

It really would not surprise me of this happened. I have been saying that their had to be a catch with this, and it looks like I was right.

Also I have read that it would be too complicated for most people and is therfore useless to most.

Yeah.. that would be it for me... it would mean the only single thing that GH:WT has over Rockband in my eyes (If you don't consider setlist because both games have songs I want and who knows what DLC will become available) is the peripherals... in paticular the drums. I can't work out why RB has such stupid drums and now that GH seems to have sorted theirs out I'm still on their side... but it's wavering to say the least.

Let's hope this is a rumour which won't come into fruition.
