Does anyone know anywhere that I can put in a game and it can tell me how much money I'll get? And playswitch is not an option.

Bauer22 11-11-2008, 06:09 PM GameStop (http://www.gamestop.com/gs/specialty/tradeins/)has a list of a few of the big titles and their trade in values. If it's not on that list then you have to go to the store. AcesHigh4895 11-11-2008, 06:52 PM Take what you bought, multiply by 1/2, and subtract the number of years old times 10. That usually works for me. [A7X]Batty 11-11-2008, 07:05 PM Jeez, only $25 for LBP... What a ripoff. Wrath99 11-11-2008, 07:09 PM easy way to figure out gamestop prices, take what you paid for it, divide by 1/2, then subtract 60%. Thats if its new, otherwise take original price then subtract 85-90% and subtract half. Cam-Dog 11-11-2008, 09:37 PM I think gamestop prices are minus 100% plus one and a middle finger. Ala Douche 11-12-2008, 03:07 AM oh hey, here's the bandwagon... i was lost for a while! **** gamestop! bluec1988 11-12-2008, 02:25 PM thats whats pulling gamestop down! even the workers admit the ceos are trying to make a big profit! the only reason why i go there alot is because i know they will have the game when it comes out and the workers are there are very respectful !! thats why i support my gamestop. even though they resell the game for 54$ Cheese 11-12-2008, 02:54 PM When I was looking for a second hand far cry 2 game on the ps3 I expected them to at least £5 off the price as it was a week old. I checked and saw that it was only £1 more expensive to buy it brand new. What's even stranger is that they put the new games and second hand games next to each other and far cry 2 (new) and the second hand one were side by side. Do they really think that people are that dumb? This was Blockbuster by the way. Wrath99 11-12-2008, 03:44 PM thats whats pulling gamestop down! even the workers admit the ceos are trying to make a big profit! the only reason why i go there alot is because i know they will have the game when it comes out and the workers are there are very respectful !! thats why i support my gamestop. even though they resell the game for 54$ WTF!? gamestop employes being respectful? were i live they are all stuck up and wont get off there phones. I quit going there after they ****ed up my GTA4 pre-order. Only reason anyone i know goes there is for the special editions the somehow have a damn monopoly on. Quinstar 11-12-2008, 03:49 PM Basically, any store that buys used games and turns around and sells them is going to rip you off. That's how they make money. They don't want to be your friend and help you find affordable gaming opportunities, they want your money. All of it. Welcome to the world of business. zbiggie 11-12-2008, 03:52 PM I would understand them making 5-10$ on a game. But buying at less them half, usually. then selling it at close to full. Truly a rip of to the cust. Thats why if I buy used games I always find a local, independent dealer. Better prices and usually good guys. Thats why if I buy used games I always find a local, independent dealer. Better prices and usually good guys. They have to make more than $5-10 on a game or they run the risk of going out of business. Places like Gamestop are able to function mostly by making large profits from the sell of used games. They make very little from the sell of new games because most of that money goes straight to the developer and publisher, which is as it should be. You could argue that their profit margin is still a bit too high on used games, but you cannot expect them to only make a $5-10 profit off of each used game sold.
