Considering the movies have become just a mindless bloodn'gore fest with some mildly amusing traps, I would say that a game would probably just be a pandering to the sadist crowd, not to people looking for an original horror/puzzle game.

This would obviously get an AO rating.

What if you could create the "puzzles", then watch your helpless victims suffer? Now THAT would score an AO.

That's a good idea, I'd much rather create traps and torture devices than try and escape them. Maybe they could release it as a downloadable game on the PSN and XBLA.

If you're in to somehow gaining amusement from sickening and inhuman torture and you're a horrible person, yes, I suppose it would make a good game.

Of course, we already have Manhunt/Manhunt 2 for that kind of thing.

Wasn't there a game company who already said they might make a SAW game?

Rather than SAW i think i would rather play something based on Final Destination

eh, maybe, but I think puzzle solving horror would eb better than doging obsticles and death.

I honestly wonder what movie-based game ideas have been rejected.

Like...has anyone ever pitched an idea for a game based off of The Transporter and had that shot down?

it just seems that its more about adapting a game to a movie than a movie to a game. Kinda like with TMNT. It was essentially a re-skinned Prince of Persia so that would lead me to believe that if we get a game like SAW it will be just a re-skinned Manhunt.

A SAW game would be cool, but they would have to restrain themselves from making it Adult Only to sell many titles. It would also get old quickly

I would think it would get old. Also I probably wouldn't get this.

It might but I've never really seen a movie-made-into-a-game come out good they've all sucked

spiderman was fun at first but got bornig quickly but got boring quickly, superman was likewise so meh Saw could make a good game depending on how they make it ...

Saw the Game sounds like a license to suck game. Now Crank the game would be awesome if they did a GTA style game.

I just got back from saw 4, and now I think the saw game would be super awesome, cmon, puzzles and scary stuff, though I think it would be kinda easy for a player to say "jump through the fire" since it's only your virtual character in danger, but I think a Saw 1 style game may be kinda fun.

lol the movie based games from the past have put doubt it me, sorry, and honestly the movies are started to suck now too, the 3rd Saw wasnt too great, its one of those "if you've seen one you've seen them all kind" Saw 4 better pay up for the crapiness of saw 3

I think saw 4 is where its at as a game idea: not so much YOU being tortured, you are being RECRUITED as the next jigsaw. More story choice style, do they live or die, do I help and how, do I build a trap or turn them against each other, find family vs victim, which trap is most deserving of their sins. I see little replay value, and yes probably AO, but still, watching a timer and deciding which dark path to take would be thrilling. I rank the SAW movies as such 1,4,2,3. 4 was very good, but after watching them all, I think surprises are expected and sorta lessens the movie as a whole. Great scene transition and really hard to peg down when all the events occurred chronologically.

hey, that would be a good idea
