What do you think is beter Gears 2 or Left 4 Dead?

I like them both a lot

They're completely different kinds of games. It's very hard to compare the two. That being said, I think L4D is better on a fun level. It really depends on what kind of game you like.

As far as which one I like better, I'm a bigger fan of Gears, because I like my games to have story. Gears has a story behind it (please don't let this devolve into a discussion on Gears' story), and Left 4 Dead doesn't really have a story (or should I say 4 stories).

I do like Left 4 Dead for some of that "Hey let's kill one gajillion zombies!" feel, but I like games with a story better.

Haven't played them much but from what i've SEEN gears2 is visually great, and the game play looks cool

Depends on your interests. Both are good if you want to play with the community, I think people will be playing Gears a lot in the future, whereas L4D is more of a sleeper hit. L4D is much more fast paced, with four player co-op compared to two. Gears is more tactical, with the cover mechanic and whatnot. They are two very different games.

They are both great games in their own right. If I had to choose, it would be GOW 2.

Both are great....from what i hear. i know for a fact gears 2 is one of the funest games ive ever played with an epic story and awsome multiplayer

my friend has told me left 4 dead is fun too....but then again it is valve we r talking about theyv'e never let me down before

Gears seems more of a game than l4d it has many features and game modes, personally I think l4d is trash and has mediocre graphics but that's my personal opinion. Also I think if you want more bang for your buck you should go with gears.

I love left 4 dead very much.(sadly i can no longer play it due to getting the rrod)
Gears 2 alot of my friends have it and they all love it.

@Brian the graphics are low because it one has objects that i am pretty sure are the same textures half-life 2. Also have you played versus on l4d cause if you have not go play it and you will love l4d.

I like them both a lot ya they are both great i know i have both of them there so great but if you have to choose then get the one your friends are playing the most.

I'm getting them both (Gears 2 in about an hour and L4D for Christmas) as they both look really good, but I have to say that Gears of War 2 is easily my favourite just by looking at them side by side. I have played the campaign on insane and Horde on insane on Gears 2 but I haven't played Left 4 Dead yet, so I can't really make an educated guess, but Gears 2 is definitely my favourite.

Honestly, when I first heard about L4D I was like, "OMG, not ANOTHER zombie game." Then I played it. I loved it. xD I had so much fun.

GoW2 isn't my favorite, but it is a decent game. I think for some reason I was better at GoW other than GoW2.
