Great Show, though I don't own a 360 so I can't participate in the gaming goodness. PS3 is what I got to work with, never liked xbox ever since they came out in the PS2 era...always seemed "fake" to me....I don't know. Can't wait until Pink in PS3 enabled.

I haven't listened to the show yet and I have no good excuse, so I'll just claim to have contracted a serious case of pudding fingers. But I will listen. I promise. I just felt bad seeing Jax complain that no one was posting here. If it makes you feel any better, I haven't even listened to all of the last Red show yet either.

That's how I am about Viva Pinata also. It's a great game and becomes very addictive if you sit and play it for a while but there's nothing like the action of a shooter.

There is an achievement for 4 player co-op, so if we can find a 4th person or maybe make this an option for a gaming night, we can get those points for you.

I'm with Leslie on the Viva Pinata suckage. Extreme boredom sets in shortly after the first worm. Confusing menu systems, overly complicated controls, and maybe it's from the boxes o wine, but I can't read that tiny, minuscule font. No idea what they were saying. (This is a problem for a lot of games since I am the only person on Earth w/o an HDTV.)

Hey discovered sarcastic gamer on my new ipod touch as i was surfing the podcasts. listened to a few episodes of the red show and heard about your show and thought it might give me some hints on transitioning my girlfriend into gaming a little more.. i've listened to all the episodes up to this point. if you haven't done any episodes with hints like that i'd love to hear them. i gave her my old gamecube and all the games i had for it to let her play around with, but she just doesn't bother with it too much. i've also tried getting games like tetris, and even endured shrek the third for her, but nothing seems to hold her attention long. HELP ME PINK SHOW YOU'RE MY ONLY HOPE! (yes that was a small reference to star wars: a new hope)

In my opinion you're either a gamer or you're not. It has nothing to do with your sex. I've met guys that have flat out told me they think games are a "waste of time" and think I'm stupid for playing them. Heck we can barely get Lesley to play games...

I grew up playing with my Dad and have always loved games.

Shrek the 3rd?? That barely held my attention. And I'm not sure if old games are going to win her over. Some girls are just girls and not gamers...you have to deal with it :)

Ever thought about trying the complete opposite?

If games like Cooking Mama, Super Mario and others don't really do the trick, why not hand her some games that are a little more interesting. you never know, the reason because she is not liking those games might be because she thinks they are retardedly(™) easy or boring.

Try some racing games, or shooters or RPGs and maybe a PSP. Remember that girls (and this is true, I'm sorry but is true, so please, Quin, Harley, Jax, Lesley, don't kill me, I'm just stating a simple fact of life.) like shiny things, so the better graphics (which the PSP can pump out compared to the DS) Might be the thing that will help her get into gaming.

i was wayy into video games as a kid but my parents never really wanted me to play them that much. the first thing i got was a gameboy pocket in 2nd grade, and i played pokemon red hardcore! i mean come on.. i was 8. not to say that pokemon isn't still kinda cool to me, i will always hold it dear. but i played anything i could get my hands on.. my best friend for awhile had a ps2 and we played all kinds of stuff on that, but mostly wrestling games. when i finally got a system i went with a gamecube cuz i was interested in playing the mario and zelda games, but then i moved on to a ps2 as well. I got it right as the slim model was being released. i was starting to get more into shooting games at this time, playing halo at my friends house and hiding behind the better players.. hah (not anymore! hide behind me now!) and i got into ratchet and clank alot. one of my favorite series ever (i'm sad its only for ps3 now). i started playing up your arsenal online alot for a year, some timesplitters future perfect mixed in as well. but now i have my 360 and i'm still into a whole lot of stuff, i just end up sinking more of my time into 1st person shooters and stuff.
