View Full Version : I beat Ratchet & Clank Future last night... *sigh*
rothbart 11-05-2007, 02:39 PM What a totally excellent gaming experience that game was. Very infrequently am I genuinely sad to finish a game, but I was for R&CF. I've started through Challenge Mode (increased difficulty, added multiplier for bolts, "Omega" versions of existing weapons, etc) but the realization that it'll likely be Xmas 2009 before another R&CF game is out makes me sad.
Anyone that owns a PS3 and even REMOTELY likes platformers needs to own this game.
smon jiff 11-05-2007, 05:34 PM Feel sorry for us Australians and shoddy release dates...:(
Garwalker 11-05-2007, 10:09 PM Is it a rental or a must own? Seems like you finished it pretty quick.
VinDali 11-05-2007, 10:41 PM I love R&C. They almost make me want to get a PS3. Almost.

Nice try. It's not "over", but I'd guess I put 12-14 hours into it and I'm still playing. I'd say even by the most recent standards, for $60 that's not bad. And I have to comment on the quality of gameplay... I'd say the first 45 minutes or so are nowhere near representative of the "entire" game... the first 45 minutes are good, but it only gets better from there...
Fully satisfied with the purchase even if someone busted through my front door and snapped my game disc. That said, I'm still playing it (to find everything... and OMGWTFBBQ it's not because I'm an achievement whore, it's because the developers made an irresistable game!)
mrpuggywuggy 11-06-2007, 11:29 AM its out this friday in the uk its been a while since i was this excited about a game being delivered to me i hope amazon get preorder games in the post so that it comes friday morning.
andyg8180 11-06-2007, 01:33 PM i Q'd it up... I cant wait to get it in... I've never played any of the R&C games but this definitily looks like it will be a blast... if its a keeper i'll just snag it from GF...
Garwalker 11-06-2007, 04:39 PM Nice try.
Damn, someone is paranoid. I was just curious if your glad you purchased it or thought it would be a GREAT rental.
As much as I loved Bioshock, I'm not sure if I should have bought it or rented it. Hopefully someday there will be some downloadable content to add to the replayability.
Mitch808 11-06-2007, 05:30 PM I don't really like R&C games, but for some reason i really want to buy a PS3 just to play this one.
viatrophy 11-06-2007, 06:01 PM I love past R&C games. They've always been great fun.
Rate this out of 100 Rothbart?
Im VERY tempted to get this and Warhawk when i get my ps3 later this year. :D

You're so funny (http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/2007/10/rothbarts-rant-45-turn-it-to-eleven.html), asking me to rate this out of 100 (http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/2007/10/rothbarts-rant-41-rating-reviews.html).
Based on your first two sentences, I'd rate this a "must buy" out of 100. :D
BTW, Warhawk is great too!
viatrophy 11-06-2007, 06:19 PM Well they're the two I'm definitely getting with it. :D
eskimopirate 11-06-2007, 08:04 PM *sigh* this almost makes me want to go out and get a PS3.
It also almost makes me want to shoot Sony in the face for not releasing it for the PS2
Emophia 11-07-2007, 01:31 AM Why would they release it on the PS2? That makes no sense, that's like Microsoft releasing Halo 3 for the original xbox instead of the 360...
Shane86 11-07-2007, 07:32 PM damn it's not even out here yet and you beat it already
rothbart 11-07-2007, 09:29 PM damn it's not even out here yet and you beat it already
Well it's not like I ran out and beat it the day I got it... I had it WELL over a week before I beat it. And I'm not done, I'm just getting started on Challenge Mode. :p
Ryobin 11-08-2007, 02:35 AM yea i think ill have to buy a ps3 and when i do this will easily be one of the first games i get
