I would like to see the movie and I just wanted to mess with him.

Saw the movie on Sunday, it was ok (not amazing but not horrible).

I can't wait for the final book! I'm going to the midnight release. I had such a potter craving over the weekend I read four of the books and put together all of my Harry Potter LEGO sets from when the first movie came out. It was a geeky weekend.

I've been reading the Harry Potter books since they came out, and just read them each pretty much within a 2 day time period.

But now...I'm not so sure I will be as consumed. Anybody else feel the same way?

If the book is anything like the Sixth or Fourth book, I won't leave my couch. If it's like the fifth book... I may take a break every once in a while...

Keith Olbermann had a really good idea on how the series would end. I've never read any of them so you can't possibly consider this a spoiler. Plus it's not even my opinion :P

So I guess the that the last guy has a bunch of items that Harry has (or still has to) destroy in order to end this guys reign of teror. In the final battle you can't just kill the last guy because that's way to anti-climactic, you can't kill Harry because fans would riot. The only option is to destory that last thing that the bad guy created, Harry's scar. But like we've already decided, Harry can't die. So the only option for Harry cast a final spell, healing the scar and at the same time sacrificing his magic to destroy the baddie.

For someone that's never read Harry, that seems like a pretty legit choice for an ending. Don't hate me if it's right, hate Keith.

I don't think it was his scar which gave him the ability to use magic, I thought he inherited that ability from his parents...

Book 7's up on TorrentSpy, but from what I've heard, somebody just took actual pics of the book from far away, therefor making it hard to read.

I snuck into the movies today and watched most of it. Pretty damn good movie from what I saw...

I've read the first 2 chapters of the first book. Couldn't even go on, even if I wanted too.

There are many great books out there, I think this one is the only one that people have read because of public preasure. So instead of reading other great books they'll only read this one, which does have a good story, but isn't as good as everyone makes it out to be.

I actually enjoy the Halo books more than Harry Potter. It's a pretty awesome story, for anyone who has read the book.

****! Someone spoiled the book for me. A random comment on Youtube.

People keep trying to say what happens, like (I dunno if it's true) Voldemort died, etc...but we all kinda figured it would happen. It's the story that matters, not the fact that it happens.

What was really annoying about this movie were all the obsessed fan people disappointed about it. I was on the Rotten Tomatoes forum and people could not get over the fact that they couldn't adapt all 800 pages of the book for the movie. These people are insane. They wanted the movie to be five hours, I guess. There was a girl posting on the forum and you would have thought someone killed her parents the way she went on and on about it.

I've read all six books and there's no way the movies could ruin anything for me. Movies are an entirely different medium, so there's no reason to get so worked up about it.

I burn Harry Potter books.

You know, I resisted the books for a long time, but I was working with this guy in his thirties, and one day the guy asked me, "Have you read the new Harry Potter book?" I looked at him like he was retarded. I told him that I didn't read children's books. And then the guy tried to convince me that they were so much more. I just ignored him.

My next encounter with Harry Potter occured during the release of the "Prisoner of Azkaban" movie. This girl I was trying to bang dragged me along to see it, and being the sensitive gentleman I am, I happily obliged. Well, let me tell you, if you're new to Harry Potter, Prisoner of Azkaban is the wrong movie to see first. I didn't know what the hell was going on, but I was intrigued.

On the way home, instead of charming my way into the girl's pants, I found myself asking her to explain the movie. She started telling me about this evil wizard named Voldemort and about secret keepers and all this other terminology I didn't understand. But at one point I stopped her and said, "Wait a second, you're saying this evil wizard killed Harry Potter's parents?" I thought that was really hardcore. It didn't seem so much like children's stories after all.

So one day I'm in Barnes & Noble and see a stack of paperback versions of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone laying on a table. After looking around to make sure no one was watching, I grabbed a copy and hurried to the checkout counter. I read the whole book the same day. I've been hooked ever since.

The thing that really grabs me about the books is this complete other world that Rowling creates that is parallel to our own. I also find myself wishing that I had friends like Harry Potter growing up and I too had these secret powers that I didn't know about.

I think Rowling stole a lot from Star Wars, because if you read the books, Luke Skywalker and Harry Potter have lots in common. Both are orphans. Both have secret powers that they don't know they had until a mysterious man tell them. Luke is the son of one of the most famous men in the universe. Potter is famous for having survived an attack by the most notorious wizard of all time.

I wish I had a cool story like that. My story's simple: somebody bought me the Prisoner of Azkaban (the book) one day, I read it, and I was hooked.

I think that OotP added a much, much needed good movie into the series.

I think CoS was the last good one

I still don't get what people see in all the harry potter books; I've read sorcerer's stone, see every movie and am pushing myself through the phoenix book, but I just don't get what makes it a worthwhile read. Here are my reasons why I personally hate it.
1. Harry is winny fart in buddy holly specks, skywalker and frodo didn't whine.
2. Sadly, harry's a failure most of the time, where the rest of the school are failures ALL the time.
3. Quidich is a sports team game of which the only the thing that matters is harry catching a fuzzy ball, everything else is meaningless. who would play football where the winner is judged mainly by the two guys playing hide and go seek in the stands?
4. Every defence teacher is the bad guy, I guarantee voldamont is the defence teacher next year! (yes the werewolf was a back guy too!)
5. You know, if someone was trying to kill me, I wouldn't mind telling a teacher every once in a while!
6. sirius is an jack%$%, cares more about revenge than Harry, leaves him with jerk muggle parents, and never helps until its too late.
7. Who doesn't get a date after saving the world, three times!?!?
8. Ahh dumbledorf "let me give you power over time & memories; well you kids play nice now!"
9. Rowling firmly believes that the only way for parents to love someone is if they're dead.
10. "I'm voldamort, I'm evil, I'm got thousands of minions and spells to destroy you all, but this boy's got a scar; curses! well I guess I'll give him spooking dreams, make him think bad thoughts, give him homework, and pimples, make him afraid to talk to girls, and bed-hair, and...!"

I truly respect Rowling for stopping the books, telling her readers to move on while looking like less of a hack historically. Please people, read something better, not something new.

A fine analysis and suggestion from Unlikely.

You see, we've known since 1973 that Soylent Green is made out of people. Harry Potter books are nothing more than grease for the chute.

Saw the movie, it was decent but I wasn't falling over myself or anything. I think they did a poor job on the death of Sirius.

As for the book, I don't know. I have mixed feelings that I'm too lazy to type.

There is only one possible reason to watch a Harry Potter movie, her name is Emma Watson. If you gave any other reason when asked then you need electro-shock therapy as soon as possible.

This sad couple claims to have read every Harry Potter book and seen every movie. Doctors state that thier condition is now chronic and there is no known cure.

Seek help immediately or this could happen to you.
