Last October I left the EU for the first time to visit the states and more importantly, New York. However because of a family tragady I had to take the next plane home. I only got time to see the empire state building, the statue of liberty and the NWS. I am going again this year and would like to know of any places of interest or places I have to go to before I leave that you people would recommend. Thanks.

Try out the restaurant Dallas BBQ for some really good ribs if you like ribs. If you don't its a great place to start!

Old York...I'm assuming they must have stolen it from us as all Britain has are red faced farmers who no one else can understand

Frawlz, The Chrysler Building, Little Italy, Central Perk, Time Square, Madame Tussauds, Rockefeller Center etc.

You could always take one of the bus tours around New York.(Downtown Tour, Night Tour, Brookyln Tour etc)

Okay put your hand on your heart (Left hand side of your body in your chest)
The bones protecting it are ribs
Lots of people eat ribs from pigs as with bbq sauce they are very nice
I'm guessing English isn't your first language or you're about 7

Def go to time square, it's great! Little Italy is pretty neat too. As Nightkiller said, you should def go on a tour as well, the night ones are always good. The most important thing you must do is take a cab! That's something everyone should do in their life, take a NYC cab. Hope you enjoy your time in the states, we are glad to have you!

Well, there are always 2 sides to a story and this is also true with NY. You can go the tourist way, or you could go the normal way.
The tourist way would take you to the Statue, the Empire State building, Maicy´s, The GWB, 41St Street and 8Th Ave. (Times square) and all that other stuff which includes Frawlz as an attraction and a guide.

But, if you want the NY people live every day, then I suggest you worry about making your own path with the help of the MTA´s Subway system. You should really worry about Eating and Parks, not the flash you get tossed at your face.

You should check out St. Patrick's Cathedral, Wall Street, the NYC Library, and don't forget to check out Grand Central Station. Also for dinner I suggest the Nice Green Bo Restaurant. It is in Chinatown and seriously has the best Chinese food I have ever had. It is really cheap too, so it won't brake your wallet. It is kind of small inside and there are no reservations so depending on when you go it could be a long wait. If you do have to wait though it is definitely worth it. Oh yeah if you also want you could check out 5th Ave. I went into Sak's with my girlfriend just to check it out and OMFG! The prices in there are just ridiculous.

Don't waste your time on the Bronx Zoo, I would say kill 2 birds with 1 stone and go to the zoo that is inside central park.

Go see the New York Philharmonic. I saw them just two weeks ago and they were great! I only reccommend seeing them if you're a fan of classical music though, otherwise you'll fall asleep. Also check out the Metropolitan museum.

If you want good Chinese food, you have to hit Wo-Hops in chinatown, AWESOME! We loved hitting there when I was working. Forget Dallas BBQ, go for italian at Carmine's in Times Sq, their food can't be beat. If you really want the NY hot dog experience hit Gray's Papaya 38th st/8th ave in manhattan, there's also a 24 hour pizza place on the corner of 41st street and 9th ave that has 2 slices and a can of soda for like $2.85 or something. Not to mention all of the previous mentioned sites like the museums, the statue and the Empire State Building, wave to Frawlz and Faye Wraye on the top of it for me!

Dont go to NYC, its too damn crowded and expensive, if you must go id advise carying a handgun at all times. take in a musem or art gallery. and if you want GOOD BBQ you have to come down south to family owned joints. You couldnt pay me enough to go to NYC, or any big city for that matter.
