I cannot wait to get my hands on this game!
The Dutch Don 01-09-2009, 08:43 AM OH.MY.GOD.
I think we have a COD4 killer. I'm still playing COD4 a lot, but this game might actually pull me away from that...
Ala Douche 01-09-2009, 11:21 AM i have to say, i'm impressed... that invasion one looks absolutely stunning.
the physics remind me of a more refined F.E.A.R. (which is good)
Cheese 01-09-2009, 11:55 AM The most awesome part of that video was definitely after the explosion. Seeing all of those dudes backflip and fly towards walls all in different ways was awesome
PopTrogdor 01-09-2009, 04:56 PM If only real ballet was like that, i would so watch it!
Gilarus 01-09-2009, 05:36 PM Watching helghast die from explosion = priceless :D
SaintMantooth 01-09-2009, 09:29 PM I read that the devs have programmed the death animation to not distort the dying character's body. Like in Gears 2, your body well bend in half and sit and shake violently on ground. They've made it so they react naturally, which you can see in a few spots in the vids. Really cool.
Blood 01-10-2009, 08:28 AM Yer that video was freakin sweet. I am going to be making one of my custom music videos for this game so stay tuned on the SG Forums for that. :)
Lokela 01-10-2009, 09:39 AM That is one sweet video! Here's hoping the game doesn't disappoint...

they actually have rag doll physics, with tons of mo-cap footage pasted over the top of it. So you shoot them in a certain place and they react to that using mo-cap data, as well as mo cap. As they die, the death animations play, and then change according to whether they are shot or if they are falling etc etc, it is very technically well done, and a first for first person shooters as well! Well actually doing it the way they have is totally new really.
Cam-Dog 01-10-2009, 05:46 PM They sure did add a lot of detail since the beta. I thought it was great then now its crazy.
THB xX chEEKy 01-11-2009, 01:37 PM i might actualy be in love, did you see all the hard work they did, it has paid of......
OMG LOVE IS IN THE AIR
Nightkiller93 01-11-2009, 03:57 PM GG's hard work hasn't paid off till KillZone 2 sells 4-5 million copies and is critically praised.
Im counting down the seconds untill KillZone 2 comes out, can't wait.
McDuff14 01-11-2009, 05:18 PM This game looks immense I literally cannot wait!
FakePlasticTree 01-11-2009, 11:38 PM The ragdoll physics look a little janky but that aside it looks absolutely stunning. I've heard it's around 10 hours long, which is a perfect length for a shooter. I'm really excited to try the demo.

Janky? I haven't seen anything better! It's superb!

It looks clumsy and awkward to me. But that's about the only bad thing I saw in that video.
Fearless987 01-12-2009, 01:49 AM That was epic!
instant 01-13-2009, 12:44 AM does anyone know the name of the opera that was being sung ?

It looks great the bodies dont turn into Gumby when shot they still have a frame so the body falls down like a real body would its great.
