Please bear with me, because this may be hard to explain. I am having problems with my messages from my PS3. If I send a message to friend "A" it appears in the accounts ( and says they have sent me a message as well ) in contacts "B" & "C". When "A" reply's, the first message I sent is overrided by "A" new message. If I go into "B" account and delete the message, it deletes it from all 3 accounts. I tried to Reset Default Settings. That worked for about 5 messages. And to put and even weirder twist to this. I sent a friend request to Taylordotcom & it showed up in contacts "A", "B", & "C" accounts. I know this sounds weird. I have a hard time explaining it & trying to figure out how to fix it. But, anybody got ANY ideas on how to fix this? Without sending my system back to Sony! I hope!

I have no idea, first time I've heard of something like this. Try deleting everyone from your contact list an add them again.

Um why are you deleting each message they dont take up much memory. I hope this helps because all i got out of your post really is that you delete your messages.

Are the other sub accounts? It may send them to all of them due to some parental control thing...

No they are not Sub - Accounts. They are other guys on my friends list. And it has worked fine up until a couple of days ago. I put a Christmas theme on my system and them WHAM! The messages are all messed up. Do you guys think that there is a bug in that theme? I have changed themes since then and it still happens. You think if i delete the theme off the system that might fix it? I know it is very hard to understand. I tried my best to describe it. That is why I haven't called Sony. It is hard to understand it if you are not looking at my system. Keep the ideas coming PLEASE! And thanks to those above who have tried to shed some light on this. :thumbsup:

Deleteing my affect friends and then readding them doesn't work. The more messages I send out to different people the more the problem grows. ( I know you may not understand ) And deleting the theme that was activated when the problem started didn't work either. Could my system have a virus? Does the PS3 get virus's? Do system updates fix a virus? Would resetting my system back to its original setting help? I'm running out of ideas

It sounds like a one off problem, So i doubt anyone will have a proper solution but reformatting should fix it unless it is a problem on your actual psn account which it probably isn't..

Would backing up my saves & game data corrupt my trophies? Because we thought about Refformatting the whole system & seeing what happens.
