Wow.

I just finished it this morning and wow. You can keep your Ratchets and Clanks, this is the first game I'm glad I bought a PS3 to experience. Is it perfect? Far from it, in fact I could list a page of its flaws and faults, but none of them matter. Why? Becuase its so bloody good thats why! The way the story unfolds(even though the actual dialogue is flimsy), the character design, the music, the art, the colours etc etc... Its just a beautiful game. Its the first game in a long time that Ive actually been thinking while at work "man, I cant wait to get home and see what happens next!" - heh.

Go rent it. I wont reccomend buying becuase like I said it has a lot of faults and I know not everyone will embrace it as much as I did, but you should at least give it a chance.

Fab. Easily the PS3s best game imo.

I like it too. Me and my mrs are playing through it together, me playing Ellen and the mrs playing as Keates. The one annoyance i have with the game is the inability to switch between the two characters at will. If i'm half way through a chapter, i can save and pick it up later. Why can't i save and swap to another character? You can only switch characters at the end of a chapter. This gets very annoying as Kirsty has a tendancy to save half way through a chapter and i can't pick up and play from the save point until she finishes the chapter.

Other than that, i thoroughly enjoy the game.

I need to finish this game... I'm at the underwater level with ellen. I stopped playing it because I couldn't figure out how to kill the green blobs... I used every folk at my disposal, and they still didn't go down.

Any suggestions as to how to defeat them?

I *think* you use a frost element to freeze it then Ga Derg(if thats his name, spear arm guy) to attack it when its frozen. I could be wrong though.

I think this pretty much sums up Folklore pretty accurately, from wiki
Reviews have been mixed, with IGN praising art design and presentation while Eurogamer criticized the tedious nature of the game and bland gameplay.[1] Some small issues were minor slowdown when closing the menu and slight repetition of level design. Switched raved: "...but I found in 'Folklore' a beautiful soundtrack, an intelligent story, characters I actually care about, a witty sense of humor, and a creative surrealism."

Also, best use of the Sixaxis yet. Pitty the game will most likely be forgotton in six months and the MGS PS3 buyers will never even have heard of it.
