Coincidence? I think not.
Taken from MSN:
'Bea, co-founder of UC Berkeley's Center for Catastrophic Risk Management, said he could think of few pilots as well-situated to bring the plane down safely as Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III.
"When a plane is getting ready to crash with a lot of people who trust you, it is a test," he said. "Sully proved the end of the road for that test. He had studied it, he had rehearsed it, he had taken it to his heart."'
Perhaps people named "Sully" are naturally suited to be great pilots? Like the Sully in Uncharted, the pilot from yesterday's near-disaster flight appears to be pretty adept when it comes to water landings.

Bloke's a hero, to react that quickly under extreme pressure saved the lives of 150 people.

Really? You don't think that perhaps ... perhaps ... Sully from Uncharted saw that Sully from real life needed a hand in a water landing and possessed him for long enough to touch down safely (as possible) in the water?
You don't believe that could happen?

No, I think the pilot was just very experienced and was able to think rationally in a time when a less experienced pilot would probobly panic and landed the plane safely on the water since he knew that the wings were still intact and would act as a flotation device for the airplane. And i think he did this without the help of a video game character, who's name was coincidentally the same as the pilot's nickname, possessing his body and allowing him to save the lives of the people on board the plane. I don't think video game's played any role in this act of heroism, it was a pilot's judgment that kept those people alive.

Well Sir, I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I still believe in miracles.
On a side note: Of course I don't think that Sully actually possessed this damn fine pilot. It is Fiction Friday, after all, and this is Sarcastic Gamer.

You cannot compare a video game "hero" to a real life hero at all. This guy saved lives and only had one shot to do it.
