View Full Version : WoW anyone? Lleu 07-17-2007, 01:04 PM Who plays WoW? What faction and server are you on? I'm a 66 Tauren Hunter on Anub'Arak. FOR THE HOOOORRRDDEEEE!!! Tk 07-17-2007, 01:12 PM Might want to specify the continent as well :P Thunderhorn-EU | Alliance 70 Mage, 63 Druid, 61 Rogue, 53 Warrior, and some lower level ones. But I quit :P Shatter 07-17-2007, 01:40 PM I never got further than about level 15. Personally I need more story line in a game than "Kill 10 boar!". Tk 07-17-2007, 01:45 PM I never got further than about level 15. Personally I need more story line in a game than "Kill 10 boar!". So you're saying WoW doesn't have a storyline? Like... lol :P Lumpydonut 07-17-2007, 02:59 PM WoW has a story, it is called Warcraft 1, 2, 3. I have a 26 Human Mage on Tanaris-US I just need another pre-paid card to play.... anyone have $30? echos 07-18-2007, 06:08 AM I quite about 3 months ago but perty much my char was Revechos on Illidan. Game0ver 07-19-2007, 04:25 AM I never got further than about level 15. Personally I need more story line in a game than "Kill 10 boar!". Haha. I support the spirit of Shatter's comment. I played WoW for 2+ years and was a beta tester. It does have a story however it's, like, attached to the game but has very little relevance to what you do in the game so most of the idiots who play WoW ignore it and behave as if they were inside a virtual chat room. Even on the designated role-playing serves the quality of the players---at least in North America---is so low that you just give up on the story line after a while. And then, maybe you let your children stave to death in RL. Oh, wait, that's DDO. :) DeathStrike 07-20-2007, 11:59 AM I personally have never played WoW...I play EQ2...been playing the orignal EQ since the first of its Umpteen expansions... All I have heard from people swithing from WoW to EQ2 is that...WoW didn't compare...they are like 2 seperate game styles. WoW appeals to more of the younger scene with weird dancing stuff and more of a laid back and easy play style. Personally...I want more of a challenge... Lleu 07-20-2007, 02:03 PM I tried EQ2 after WoW. Admittedly i hated the first EQ2 and the second felt like the same old tune to me. WoW is where it's at for me. 8 million subscriptions can't be wrong :P Deanicus 07-24-2007, 01:52 AM 70 troll shaman. 65 undead warlock... I've been stuck on this game since alpha-testing in January of 2004 :( Lleu 07-28-2007, 01:50 PM DING! lvl 70. Now to farm 5k gold for my uber flying mount!! Only 4,500 to go Volkov 07-28-2007, 03:13 PM 70 troll shaman. 65 undead warlock... I've been stuck on this game since alpha-testing in January of 2004 :( That's so sad. I weap for you. Game0ver 07-28-2007, 05:21 PM That's so sad. I weap for you. I would say something similar (played WoW from beta till about six months ago) because WoW is so shitty. But, there's nothing else out there. All the mmorpgs suck. So, if you were playing WoW and checked out something else you might just stay in WoW, inertia, whatever. Outlook is bleak for games in that genre. What can you switch to, System Hog: Saga of Zeroes? lol. Nope. Lleu 07-28-2007, 05:35 PM Outlook is bleak for games in that genre. I look at what Q4 2007 and Q1-2 of 2008 have in store for us and think the exact opposite. Age of Conan Gods and Heroes Warhammer Online Yes sir, blue skies and smooth sailing as far as the eye can see. Game0ver 07-28-2007, 06:30 PM Ok, Warhammer Online might actually be kind of cool. Sign up for the beta here http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/home/index.php What I meant to say was that during WoW's reign of idiocy all other mmorpgs that I checked out have sucked King Magni's dwarven butt, so many people just stayed in Wow way past the boredom stage. That I can agree with. I've taken several breaks over the last 2.5 years with WoW. It's fun for about 6 months then it's time to go play another game. GTA IV will pull me away this time I think. Wait, I have a solution.
