This DLC is boring and way to easy. They rush you through it and .... blah .. its just easy. I payed 10 bucks for 3 hours of game play.. and that's with me messing around. Heads up for everyone, unless your a real hardcore fan.... don't download this. I was very disappointed.

What you get out of all this is....
T51-b Armor, Alot of ammo, A special Chinese Stealth Suit, A special perk, and 4 achievements.

That's a bummer. And no level cap. Weak.

Or rather, no INCREASE in level cap. Sorry. Been drinking. Just recorded Talkingship # 25 AND Talkingship SGCP # 8. Pretty drunko at the momento.

$10 for all that? Sounds like a bargain to me!
/sarcasm
Well, hopefully my experience is better than yours man, and hopefully the other DLC is gonna be better.

If you guys want the extra level cap you gotta wait until March, when the 3rd DLC is released, that's when the cap goes from 20 to 30!!!

Enjoying it so far, taking in the scenery and its already lasted me about 2 hours and only mid way through the 3rd mission. Totally worth it.

I think it is also worth it and it is a fare price. I think one of the packs in the next months will be free two.

I think i first started getting irritated when i realized i couldn't loot my dead enemies bodies for ammo and guns because they would dissapear. I felt like they (bethesda) were holding my hand giving me all this free health and ammo through the whole thing. Especially when i can call in new squad members when mine died. I think i just over hyped it for myself. If you love fallout and have the money... i guess give it a try, you might have a way better experience than i did. Hopefully they do release some free DLC in the future.

why in gods name you would trust bethesda with DLC after the Oblivion calamity is beyond me.

$10 for 3 hours isn't too bad when you consider the number of $60 games that are 10 hours or less. Guess it just depends on how much you enjoyed Fallout 3.

Like other people, I say 10 bucks for 3 hours of gameplay isn't really that bad, Plus you get those extras and probably a few bug fixes too...

Since i own the game on ps3 I will probably just aquire the game and expansion by other means and play it on my PC...
Yeah, F**k You Bethesda!

Broken Steel was the only DLC for FO 3 that really looked cool.

Due to Bethesda's lack of DLC support on PS3, I say Piracy is a good response.

You forgot about the Chineese Shock Sword and Gauss Gun. Both are kick ass weapons.

I don't think it's a rip off at all, but I do wish they would increase the level cap... I won't play the main part anymore until they do.

We'll see. Everytime I've logged on over the last few days, you've been on Fallout 3 at Level 20 (I think you're labeled the "Scourge of the Wastland"). I think you'll give, and murder another town of innocents before you're allowed to get XP for it.:wink2:

I think that's technically legal. After all, you do own a copy of the game.

I took my time with it and just finished it tonight. I have to say I felt like I got $10 worth out of it in terms of play time and lasting appeal for future endeavors with the game with my new goodies. I'm even using the power armor they ... gave me. But yeah, the shocksword and gauss rifle are where its at when it comes to Super Mutant disposal these days.

I cant say much yet, since Im one of the few people who hasnt bought it yet.... I mean Fallout 3. (Sorry, but Im putting myself on a game-purchase diet till I get my games to beat down a bit.) However, from what Im hearing, it's nothing but a hassle on the PC version, anyway. (Windows LIVE's independant client needs ALOT of work.)

im only 30 min into it and i think it is pretty fun. i thought the fire fight between the outcasts and mutants was a little intense.

it was pretty much of a hassle....first you needed to buy it...which took up 30min of my time and 352MB out of my memory, but then afterwards i found out that i needed to download it again which took up an hour and a half of my time and 594MB of my memory. i think it is worth it, but im not getting anything else until broken steel.

The only downfall Ive found so far to the game is that once you beat the main quest its all over (or at least for now) unlike Oblivion where you can continue to do side/faction quests... As far as the expansion goes I have not played it yet, I have it, but been too much into other games at the moment. I would venture to say that 3 hours plus a significant collection of gear is definately worth $10 since most games that have DLC, such as multiplayer map packs, only give you 3 maps for the same price.

I liked the DLC. Sure it was easy, but it was a different change of pace from the regular Fallout 3 game. It feels more like a Call of Duty game where you run-gun. You almost never need to use VATS. I thought it was well worth it to get out of the wasteland for a few hours.

Plus you get the Power Armor, Chinese Stealth Armor, and Gause Rifle at the end of the mission.
