ok my 360 just died on me(RRoD) i have a target warranty if i take it there will i get a new one right away or will it have to be repaired?

No idea with target, but with future shop they send it in to get fixed and if they cant fix it they give you a new one. I would guess target would be similar.

Yeah when mine was breaking you could play for about 2 hours then it would red ring, then it slowly started dieing sooner and sooner until it just kept dieing 5 minutes into play.

im seriously regretting getting this piece of shit now im so pissed its not even funny i dont know what to do i just abused my wall(punched it) and im seriously thinking about killing my xbox

If target will replace it for a core unit or whatever you have (minus the HDD)that would be awesome but in the long run your just prolonging the inevitable. It's a rite of passage really.

Yeah I was pissed, but I wasn't raging about how I was going to sue microsoft. Look, it isn't like when you bought your 360 you didn't know that this had a high probability of happening, and while it is in the shop, maybe you can read a book or play some PC games :D.

You are better off just sending it in for repairs than trying any other methods that just delay things, better to just get it out of the way.

Yeah, they repair your 360 for free if it is under the warranty, and they give you a 1 Month Gold Card.

good i cant play for a month anyways i was trying to sneak some play time in but now ill just say i was watching a movie since im grounded so i dont get it worst and ill get a free month sweet

its happened to me 3 times and i was never mad... ive never seen someone so pissed over a dead xbox... i guess i really had nothing to complain about because i ended up making $140 off the whole process so i guess thats a plus...

I've had the RRoD. I really don't see why people throw such a hissy fit about it, it's just not a big deal. Send your box in to MS and get a new unit for free. Stop crying, you still own the best console out there and now you've got a new one.

I'm an expat overseas and even I didn't sweat it when mine broke, I just waited until I could get a new one at no extra cost. Stop complaining and get yourself over to Target.

Do you by chance heat your house to 90 degrees on a regular basis? That's insane... I know people who have gotten ~3, but 7??? I think you are the common denominator... Your doing something wrong.

Nope, this house is using freeeeeezing.
The 360 is in the same place as it always is, laying down on its own next to the TV, just have really bad luck.
Never has bothered me, bought a 3 year in store warrenty and they let me just take my 360 up to them and swap it straight for a brand new one, and just keep my HDD.
