Actually one of my favorite games is an old DOS game called Shadow President. It's one of the best political simulation games out there. Other than that I spend mucho time investigating the independent gaming scene. Some of the best ones I have found:

I think that game got less than 10 / 100 on a review from PC Gamer.
And they were right to do so as well :P

Many of the titles mentioned above have been on my HD at one time or another but right now all that's on there is Quake III Arena and Second Life.

Second Life isn't actually a game but one of those virtual worlds that has decent building tools. Most "players" construct buildings on land they purchase, and then either have virtual sex in the building or sell clothing, jewelry or gadgets that they create and add scripts to. It's a lot more than that, lol, but this is what you notice when you first get into the world.

If anyone has to wonder why I still play Quake III Arena (this title went gold in 1999) you probably need to be taken out and shot because there is no cure for you.

UTK4, AOM, Rainbow Six, and COD2 are games I really enjoy for LAN parties and in general. As for games that I just love? Bloodlines 2, Half-Life 1 & 2 (and the Episodes), Condemned: Criminal Origins, Oblivion, and some Doom.

Gods and Generals got like an 8.9 to beat out LSL for the worst game ever.

Half Life 2 was so revolutionary in terms of its graphics, style, story and atmosphere. It really does stand the test of time and will for years to come. Sadly, most other valve games probably won't.

Monolith is one of my favorite developers. They put out great games, but they don't really get a lot of publicity for them. FEAR was probably their biggest hit, but they have so many more titles that everyone should play at least once.

Why does LucasArts feel that there isn't a market for the classic adventure games anymore??

Very tough question especially when deciding between different genres’s, but because of the shear amount of times i have gone back to it, even recently, it has to be - Diablo 2. Fantastic game and so addicting.

Also considered:

Football Manager 2006 - Because I’m currently playing in the 2018-2019 season with Juventus.
Half-Life 2 - Because of the gravity gun and the breathtaking set pieces.
C&C Red Alert 2 - Because of the massive armies i would make.
Final Fantasy 8 (Although i only ever played the PS version) - Because it was the first game i was ever addicted to.
The Sims 1 - Because of the millions of times i managed to kill them all!
Dungeon Keeper 2 - Because of the detailed dungeons I would make.
Morrowind - Because of the sheer vastness of it, and because of the first time you step out of the boat and see the world.
Oblivion - Because of the freedom.
Pro Evolution Soccer 5 - Because of the hundreds of goal replays i have saved from it.

Quite a strange and contrasting list, but all have a special place in my memories.
