Can the rock band 2 microphone(360) be purchased as a separate item? I've checked a bunch of web sites and I can't find diddly( unless someone will recommend a third party mic). Is it just hard to find or am I going to be forced to buy a bundle for it?

Pretty much any USB mic will work.

He is right. You can also just use the 360 headset, if you don't mind looking like a pop-singer :D.

Nah, headset doesnt work at all. Its hopeless at pitch detection and if in the offchance you dont fail, theres no way you'll score even a fraction of what you would with a real mic.

Yeah I saw that on gamestop's website(:lipssealed:) but was not sure of the quality. I guess I am now. Thanks every one:thumbsup: Although I still don't see why harmonix doesn't have one.

All the recent singstar microphones work with it, and you can pick them up pretty cheap.

I got the RB1 mic for $10 used at Gamestop. I seriously don't know if the RB2 one can be much better.
But don't use the headset. It can't detect pitch very well, the sound coming from your speakers will be so laggy it will throw you off, and it also sounds like crap.

Sound from my speakers? When I do start to play vocals I intend to wear three sets of ears plugs/muffs. I DON"T want to hear myself:lol:
Next time I hit the city Ill see what I can find used. The logitech one sounds like it would be good but the price limits my killzone2 a bit.
Bit expensive, I know but do the Lips microphones work with RB2 yet? If so they'd be perfect.
