One of the biggest reasons why I was dissappointed with the PS3 was the lack of rumble support. Thankfully, that will soon be a thing of the past. IGN got to try out the cleverly named DualShock 3 controllers from Japan, and things are looking good.

If you’re willing to buy them via import, the much anticipated Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune demo supports them along with Ratchet and Clank: FTD. They also suggest trying them with the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue demo.

Also, my biggest fear was put to rest, and they confirmed that older PS2 and PS1 games so far seem to rumble with no problem.

Now just bring it out in the U.S. and keep these great games coming, and I might actually buy a PS3! Something I never thought I’d say.

“Last-gen feature” my ass! Rumble is back and hopefully here to stay!

Have to admit, games need rumble in them, it just does not seem right anymore, playing without rumble.

I feel this adds key elements to playing any game, for example, a sports game, taking a free throw or a penalty kick. Crashing your car into a barrier, I'm sure we could add a huge list of things rumble is good for.

Right behind you on this one supa

Yeah, I can't wait to see a bundle where these are included!

This definitly is a leap forward for the ps3 in my opinion.

It was/is a great feature in the PS2, and subconsciously adds a lot to the gameplay value.

A "PS3+Dualshock 3+Ratchet and Clank" bundle would be awesome.

yeah I was wondering how the PS2 and psone games would work with rumble. Nice to see all works well.

I won't consider getting my PS3 until they have released the bundle.

I'm probably the only guy that loathes rumble. I always hated the feeling when it started up and there were times when I had to put down the controller, as I hated the feeling. Thank goodness most games allowed me to turn it off.

so I'm pretty neutral, though I hope it doesn't become a standard when I decide to get a PS3.
