ThePianoMan 02-15-2009, 03:10 PM WEEEEEEEE!
Flower looks great, I haven't seen anything of Bomberman though... :undecided:
Movie-tie-in games with the movie... yay... making crap games sell well, good plan...
New skins > Folding paper
Killzone 2 demo took forever to load true. I haven't installed it yet... Well now I know to watch out for the slants, it's not a problem
Frawlz does sound like a douche, and PacMan, we can find you...
I might find something for the contest, I dunno. Need a good camera first, my PS Eye's camera part is mucked up
Savvy? Oh, lol (I'm typing as I listen). I got that before you Frawlz!
Thanks for a great episode
Stay Frosty!
PikminGuts92 02-15-2009, 04:00 PM I've been waiting all weekend for this episode.(Refreshing page every ten minutes)
Great job this week guys.
I'll try my best on making a video for the contest.
Frawlz in your mouth!
JaXboxChick 02-15-2009, 04:03 PM I didn't get a shout out but I listened anyway :)
kim andre 02-15-2009, 06:23 PM ye really good show guys ;)
levi95psn 02-15-2009, 07:03 PM I was hoping for a shout-out, but then I realized that I was playing R2 with PMPB AFTER they recorded.
Raven 02-15-2009, 07:58 PM Great episode. PacMan was awesomer than normal..... more awesome.... more awesomer
I'm sure you get the idea. Great job guys.
Ventilaator 02-16-2009, 07:13 AM So what was Red Dead Revolver? My experience with games of the wild west begins and ends with Gun.
My most anticipated yet unexpected game would be the port of Disgaea 2 to the PSP. I want to play that so bad but I can't find a Ps2 copy anywhere in this country.
MightyMutt 02-16-2009, 09:11 AM Riddick is almost undoubtedly the best game movie tie in of all time and I'm looking forward to the remake/sequel, and yeah I liked the film.
I'm also looking forward to Punisher:War Zone on PSN. As a massive part of the problem with making a movie tie-in game, is the limited development time, I'm hoping that more developers see this as a viable option, as I'd much rather they made a good DL game, than a crap retail one.
Having said that though I couldn't see the film of Punisher: War Zone at my local cinema, or indeed at a cinema within 50 miles of my house, because no one was showing it. That is not a good sign, you know your on to a bad one when you get a more limited release than a Dolph Lundgen version of your film!
Oh and my Killzone 2 demo may have been codeless but it took me roughly 20+ hours to download it!
Good episode guys and one thing I haven't heard comment on - Will Rothbart be buying Killzone 2? Or are you going to wait 6 months?

I bet he's going to get it day one. Because First-Person Shooters are his favorite genre.
And Killzone 2 looks sweet!!!!

I enjoyed the new Punisher flick. Unlike the last one, this one was much more in keeping with the Punisher mythos. No weird mind games and crap, just lots and lots of brutal violence and little talking or plot. Which is what a Punisher movie should be. Did they stop when he put his fist through one guys head? Oh no, he does it a number of times, each more gruesome than the last! :)
Spoodge6 02-16-2009, 10:45 PM Good show guys.
I reckon the Lord of the Rings games were decent movie tie ins especially Return of the King ( although the new one is crap). Spiderman 2 was decent enough as well but other than that there aren't any good ones I can think of.
I am buying Killzone 2 based on the demo and selling Resistance 2. Just feels alot better.
I played the Resistance retribution PSP demo Pacman and didn't really like the controls or the fact that there is so much autoaim. But it is a FPS so at least they had a go of getting over the no 2nd analog stick

This reminded me, I wonder what the heck Pacman saw about Resistance Retribution at CES, because all it is (based on the demo) is a reskinned syphon filter game and nothing else.
The Syphon Filter games were awesome, so there's theoretically nothing wrong with that.
rothbart 02-17-2009, 02:51 PM So what was Red Dead Revolver? My experience with games of the wild west begins and ends with Gun.
The funny thing is that I didn't really play RDR, but the stills I've seen, added to the GTA IV/Midnight Club LA game engine spells potential for awesomeness in my book... I'm hesitantly excited at this point. It all depends on how populated the virtual world is... it just has promise and isn't another <insert genre that's over-populated> in my opinion.

Here, here!
Will Rothbart be buying Killzone 2? Or are you going to wait 6 months?
No, I won't wait. When it's a big top-tier spectacle of a title, I'll get it at launch (even though I seriously doubt I'll get sucked into the multiplayer...) I may volunteer to be fodder on some game nights though... :D

Nothing else...? Syphon Filter games on the PSP were quite good. That's a decent pedigree IMO...

Okay, you've vindicated yourself.
classicmoments 02-17-2009, 04:31 PM Good episode guys. And thanks for the shout-out.
I'm gonna ask for another shout-out for next episode just to see if I get two in a row.
But anyways I always enjoy the show. Keep it up!
MrSoft 02-18-2009, 08:11 AM Riddick is almost undoubtedly the best game movie tie in of all time
I disagree i think that good old Goldeneye on the N64 was definitely the best movie tie-in game the mutiplayer deathmatches in that game were sick for their time.
I also really enjoyed Spiderman 2 which was actually pretty good but i dont want to give the spiderman games too much credit since the continued to kick me in the nuts with the next 2 games that i bought, man they were a mistake :undecided:
On a different subject I am well lookin forward to Worms on the PSN especially if it has online multiplayer. Ive had some good times with Worms World Party on the PC, its just a classic game, as long as they dont mess it about too much... *cough* Worms3D
Chubbaluphigous 02-18-2009, 06:18 PM PMPB I love your brutal honesty.
MightyMutt 02-19-2009, 08:32 AM I enjoyed the new Punisher flick. Unlike the last one, this one was much more in keeping with the Punisher mythos.
That's good, I trust your opinion on that, so that's a relief, but I still might have to wait for it on DVD, as I don't have a lot of options - I blame Doc.
I'll get it at launch (even though I seriously doubt I'll get sucked into the multiplayer...) I may volunteer to be fodder on some game nights though...
Exactly the same for me, let me know when your offering yourself up and I'll come be fodder with you :wink2:

Well I disagree with your disagreement  While Spiderman 2 is probably 2nd on my list too (and yes subsequent Spiderman games have been a kick in the balls) However, I was never the greatest fan of Goldeneye. Don't get me wrong it was a seminal game, that did a lot for the industry and even more for the advancement of the FPS genre. I'm very grateful for that and respectful of it's place in videogame history, but I never got that into the game when it was released and going back to the game now - it plays like arse. There have been too many games that have, admittedly stood atop Goldeneye's shoulders to get there, but have made so many great improvements to the genre that, by comparison, makes it very difficult to enjoy Goldeneye these days.

Well I'm not denying that now Goldeneye plays like a low res donkey, I tried to get back into it just before christmas and I only managed about 30 mins cause it looked awful and was too simple for todays standards. I agree with you on that point but back then it was a blast; Moonraker Laser, Golden Gun, blowing your mates up with Remote Mines, good stuff. Fantastic game. GO BOND!
Ventilaator 02-19-2009, 11:27 AM In my opinion, the best movie game of all time:

Oh man I used to play that game loads. Aladdin rules, SEGA mega drive classic. Not the best movie tie in tho, it's still Goldeneye.
It looks like I'm just gonna keep defending this game
Ploogle 02-21-2009, 01:16 AM No blu show today? No HDUD on Wed? What's going onnnnnnnnnnn
Frawlz 02-21-2009, 01:46 AM No idea about the Humpday... but the blue show should be up very soon...
MrWooT 02-23-2009, 01:32 AM Good show guys. But why give out Keys for KZ2 when u just make an EU acount and download it from there. although i let down by the defualt Controllers. I am hoping that the actual game would be better and R5 would give us the abillity of Moving while aiming.
