Anybody remember this system?

what a legend!
:D

I was randomly looking through the loft the other day due to bordem.
And I found it in its original box.
And it was next to a huge case so out of curiosity I looked into it
and found like 50 (+) games for the system!
So obviously I had to hook it up just for the hell of it.

Does anybody know any good games for this?
I'll look through the box and see if there is any good ones. :)

Thats like saying "whats better, PS1 or PS2". It was Commadore vs Specy vs Amstrad (SPECCY WINS!) then ST vs Amiga (ST wins! If only for its awesome midi ability). Nobody ever argued the 64 against the Amiga :P

Technically it wasnt a console really..... it was a home computer. Think of it as a PC running DOS with 64k memory and to load games you play an audio cassette of them for 10mins then again for every level. Those were the days!

...and people were bitching about the DMC install ¬_¬

Ah, ye olde C64. I think my favourite game was Creatures 2. Ridulously difficult game, but massively addictive!

So many great old games ... hard to say which would be my favourite, maybe Platoon or First Blood part II, Miami Vice, or Green Beret, or Batman ... perhaps Ghouls and Ghosts, The Detective, Critical Mass?!

Impossible to pick a favourite!

But I have to say it's the music, rather than the games themselves, I'm most nostalgic for.

I still have a bunch of MIDI's that bring me right back to those old loading screens.

Dude. Seriously. Is it so hard to so a little web research first? The Commodore 64 is a realllllllly old game system/computer that basically served as the foundation for modern video games. (Correct me if I'm wrong, someone.)

Am I the only one here to young to remember this console???

Nope. Me too. :D I probably wasn't even born yet, and have never actually seen one in person. It's like those extinct animal species...you can only see pictures and videos of them, and it's weird watching an animal you know doesn't exist anymore.
