Im looking, but I think Ill get one later... right now, Im not seeing my required killer ap and/or 5 games I cant get on my current platforms.

I have the original silver DS (the big bulky one), and it's starting to die on me. That's the only reason I'm getting it. :lol:

I personally would like to see some sort of WiFi video/audio chat program over the DSiWare channel. Also, some barcode scanning feature in a game could be pretty cool. I'm just waiting for Square Enix to use it really well.

Square, hell... Atlus is who will do it if I have my way.

Imagine a Persona game with that kind of function... so you could find hidden "spirits" in your every day world to bring into the game... or call it "influence" to bring out a new one in you.....

seriously the franchise just about screams for it.

I have a DS lite and will buy a DSi if for nothing else the DSiWare. The cameras could maybe be used in an xbox vision kinda way for personalising your games/characters, though whether the DS would actually be powerful enough i dont know. Has anyone else heard that the battery life is being shortened...:S

That's actually an interesting idea: Take a picture of your face and let the game generate a low-polygon model for use in games. :lol: I'd so love that!

Yeah, the battery life is shorter. But, considering that you have a beefier processor, it's understandable.

to me it dosent seem to be worth the 170 for 2 cams and no gba slot

Yeah but you could keep your old DS for that, or if their are really GBA games you wanna play, buy a GBA off ebay.

Well, anything's possible. I heard somewhere that the firmware is upgradeable in the DSi, so Nintendo could potentially transfer the Mii system to handhelds as well. Not sure if that'd be good or bad! :lol:

No backwards-compatibility = No buy. I love my GBA pokemon games but sadly do not own a working GBA.

The DSi is way overpriced for what it dose, because it's pretty much a cell phone but can't call people.

There's two camer'a one is the VGA camera, used mostly for porifle pictures in game. And a 3MP cam as well.
