I feel your pain UK gamers. Americans already know that they can purchase PlatinumGames’ “MadWorld” starting March 10 (http://wii.ign.com/articles/950/950450p1.html), but you all remain clueless as to when the black-and-white brawler will invade your side of the Atlantic.
An unbearable wait for sure, but one I am here to alleviate.
According to MCV (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/33298/MadWorld-dated-March), the UK version will drop on March 20. The extra ten days should provide sufficient time to gather the required amount of fish scales, or what you people use as currency.
The video embedded below is from New York Comic-Con 2009. In it, producer Atsushi Inaba explains the game’s premise and story.

For those who pine for more over-the-top brutality, I suggest you check out Gametrailers’ official “MadWorld (http://www.gametrailers.com/game/6774.html)” page. It has plenty of blood-soaked videos, including the SportsCenter-style “Death Watch” episodes.
Also, be sure to check out PlatinumGames’ blog (http://platinumgames.com/blog/), which is constantly updated with information regarding its upcoming titles.
“MadWorld” immediately caught my attention when it was officially revealed last year; I fully intend to recklessly speed toward my local Best Buy in early March to secure a copy. PlatinumGames and SEGA have earned praise for their decision to develop a unique, mature title for the Wii’s older audience, but some have expressed concern that the game might become repetitive. Clearly, those individuals were oblivious to Man Darts.
Though many seem fixated on the game’s extreme violence, I find myself enthralled by its unique visual style. “Okami” fans are no doubt aware that PlatinumGames was born from the ashes of Clover Studio, which also developed “God Hand” and “Viewtiful Joe” for the PlayStation 2. I only hope that gamers give SEGA incentive (http://www.destructoid.com/madworld-producer-says-a-sequel-could-be-in-our-future-122020.phtml) to publish a “MadWorld” sequel. Translation: buy the damn game.
