I was vacuuming the floor while listening to this and had to stop for several moments because I was laughing out loud.

I got some odd looks on my paper round this morning listening to this. Twas worth it

Animal Crossing rocks, played that on the gamecube and the DS. Nothing like fishing and paying off your constant debts until you finally get a statue in the middle of town :D.

I'm hooked (2 minute minor :lol:) on the NHL '09 game too (little burnt on FPS right now).
The Be A Pro mode is quite addictive and when you get your buddies to play on an online team with their Be A Pro players it's too much fun.

The one problem I've had is EA's Servers not letting me log in. I emailed them yesterday asking 'what gives' and they replied that I needed to changed the date on the 360 to 11/15/05. Ridiculous, but it worked.

Great show ladies ... was laughing rather hard. Got a few odd glances from co-workers but oh well. I too have been bitten by the NHL 09 bug. That game is very addicting. The Be A Pro mode is really fun. I just hate sitting on the bench during a line change watching my team do something stupid. I would rather be on the ice and hopefully be able to prevent such mistakes. Wish I could be in Miami to meet all my fav Sarcastic Gamers, but I will be drinking some beers with Jax in spirit. Can't wait to hear next weeks episode. You ladies rock!

Very funny... I totally relate to Jax's Animal Crossing rage... I share a town with my axe weilding 6 year old son and my wife who just discovered the run button.

My second listen, and I feel like I should give some feedback. Jax and Har are great. Leslie, on the other hand, could be replaced by any random person on the street. She knows nothing about gaming and seems out of place. It feels like everyone else is aware of this point but they only keep her on because they are too afraid to hurt her feelings. Sounds like she only has a 360, and barely even plays that. She knows NOTHING about gaming. Please replace her, or just keep the podcast to the two of you (jax and har). She is just too dumb about video games to be on a podcast.

This complaint is directed to Leslie, but I doubt that she would even be aware of it, since I cannot see her being a major participant of the forum...

Edit: I am very happy with the podcast otherwise. I really enjoyed the Animal Crossing talk this week. My fiance and I are always sabotaging eachother's towns. It's great :)

That's the whole point of the show. We have one gaming expert, one Jax, and one gaming newbie. Also, keep in mind that many people who are new to gaming listen to the Pink Show, as it's not as hardcore-oriented as the other shows. If Leslie wasn't asking such simple questions, many listeners wouldn't understand particular things. I think it's a perfectly balanced show and while there is some hardcore gaming talk, usually it's presented in a form that everybody could understand.

@Punksure Yeah I like to leave pitfalls all around my dad's house. My kids however are too nice and will go behind me and pick them up. Last week I piled all the trash I fished out of the river in front of his house. It was good for fly catching :)

About our show...we're still NEW to this whole thing and in my opinion still figuring out what we're doing and what works. Lesley is really an important part of the show for that new gamer perspective. There are people that think I'm obnoxious and want me off the show too...lol. You can't please everyone. But we're all on the show for a reason.

It takes time. It's sort of like a band you fiddle around with a bunch of different things that change over time until you find YOUR sound.

Also I hope you guys had a good time/turnout at community vibes.

Regarding Onechanbara, I've just happened to come across some info on it.

Firstly, it's pronounced kinda like "Or - Ne (as in ne-ver) - Charn - Bar - Lar" in Japanese (I ain't Japanese myself so I ain't 100% accurate), while "Onechan" means "elder sister" or informally, "young lady", and "Chanbara" is "sword fighting".

It is a part of the "The" game series (all low budget games) started back in the PS1 era. Also there's a movie to it.

Not like I recommend the game or the movie( never played/watched them), just that I used to walk by video stores wondering what the hell is that movie, but now I know where does it come from.

BTW, loving the Pink show, really a nice change of pace, considered that there are so many "hardcore" gaming podcast out there, it's really nice to hear voices from another perspective.
