Today we’re pitting the Strogg Oppressor versus the GDF Soldier.


Strogg Oppressor

This powerful fire support expert can call in artillery deployables like the stylish Rail Howitzer, Plasma Mortar, and Orbital Laser, and can direct their fire against enemy targets. He also enjoys using his rapid-fire Lacerator. Sundays, he volunteers at the local children’s hospital reading books to young sick Strogglets.


GDF Soldier

This is the GDF’s main assault class. The Soldier gets all the spiffy heavy weapons, like the N93 General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) and N72 LAW Rocket Launcher. He also sports Frag Grenades and the High Explosive Charge. He also makes a mean lasagna.

GDF Soldier all the way!!! I love lasagna! Oh yeah, and assault rocks for the same reasons i mentioned yesterday, but quite frankly the cooking tips it for me

The Oppressor is one of the most unique classes I've seen in a game. BF2142 and it's orbital strike (which is only available to the Commander btw) doesn't hold a candle to the kind of fire and brimstone you can lay down with these big guns as just a player. The only problem is that usually you're a bit to far away to see the carnage you cause.. but when your whole screen lights up with kills you know you struck home. It's a very good feeling :)

Oppressor is just far too cool of a name.

man this is hard i love both the strogg and the GDF Soldiers
but if i had to chose a side it would be the strogg :}
