Review scores are ridiculous though I can't lie I do watch them to see the gameplay and what is said about it. I don't care about numbers all I want to know (even though I don't judge based on reviews anyway) is, is it a rent, a buy or a pass.

Street Fighter IV can be played on a standard 360 controller but the ultra combo's are ridiculous no matter how many times I do it accurately I still have to do it like 4 times while taking a whoopin' just to get it to work and it's pretty obvious that I'm trying to do it so they know what's coming which makes it useless.

Good episode guys, I guess Dave's take us out was wonderful in it's simplicity.

As far as FEAR 2 goes, great game, not scary really at all. I played FEAR 1 and it was a lot creepier to me. Still think FEAR 2 has better environments and all (though it felt like I was playing Condemned 2 most of the time), but for some reason I didn't really get scared by it. Still liked it, enjoyed the story and did get the ending (even though it was really f*cked up), and I will be playing FEAR 3 whenever that comes out.

I don't think you've thanked me before... I would review games as weather or not it appeals to a foreigner of the game's genre, i.e. an FPS player playing an RPG, and weather or not the games unbalances and bugs take away from the game overall.

So, for Too Human, I'd say it would appeal to people who like the hack and slash genre, but not to people outside of that genre. I would not say the complaints about the game, like the controls, take away from the game's overall experience.

I'm glad that Lono's liking the fightpad for SFIV, as I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. It does sound like I made the right decision to get it on the PS3 as I didn't have the problem he did with the d-pad. I realised this was going to be a problem for me when I was playing MKvDC recently and even better that my fightpad will be wireless as opposed to the 360 wired ones - wires are so last generation, don't you know :tongue:

Between getting SFIV for PS3, Valkyria Chronicles and with Killzone 2 next week, looks like my year of the PS3 is starting early, with three PS3 purchases in a row and no 360 purchases within the same time. This time last year I would never have guessed that! :shocked:

I think I'm probably the only person that doesn't care if it's wireless or not. I don't know if it's just laziness or me being cheap but I can't be bothered to constantly change battery's (even if they do last a while)

Last week, none of my podcasts seemed very excited for SFIV, which upset me greatly (to the point of me rolling my eyes when i head people belittle it. i'm very emotional.). Looking at the shownotes and the comments, it appears as if SFIV does indeed get some airtime! yahoo. Now to go back to sucking at Street Fighter...

Did you guys get the audio for HYKYB from the youtube video? The quality was crap, and there were some really random sound effects as if it were from a video. :lol:

What does that have to do with the d-pad? You can unlock all the characters on easiest by simply jumping forward, fierce kick, crouch, fierce kick, jump back, repeat. Not really a challenging thing or putting the test to anything really.

Either way the PS3 controllers D-Pad is better then the 360's but it's still not the best. I still play X-Men VS Street Fighter when I'm over at my girlfriends house on the PSX and it still fails some times. Not only that but a playstation controller will get you bigger blisters and quicker.

Ahhh...so the ones they released around thanksgiving of 2007 were just in a higher quality than normal. Gotcha.

Haha another great episode! I have been listening to older episodes in between new episode releases and I had just finished listening to the Semi-colon episode prior to this one. I laughed so hard at the fart take us out from that episode that I played it for everyone I know (I did not get the reaction I was hoping for from them.) This was another great Dave take us out moment and I loved that he made reference to that other great moment as well.

P.S. Don't be sad Doc, I couldn't play fear 2 either, too scary!

Oh I know what you meant, I had them too when I was a kid playing SFII. I call them "Fighting Game Blisters" some sort of badge of honer :lol:. Funny thing is I once got them playing the arcade stick witch was weird. But for the button side there were fairly ok, never had blister on them but they did hurt when I extremely press the button really hard or move them fast to hit that combo.

I think within the first 15 minutes where they were talking about their rankings. They said SG was ahead of them but it was okay because SG is hilarious and very well done.
