I'd like to know also what the young guns, 20 or younger, think of seasoned gamers like myself. I've had young gamers online laughing at me because they didn't expect 'grandpa' to play video games. I only hope they will stay young at heart themselves so they'll be playing video games when they get to the age I am now..

I'm 20 and I prefer playing with those that range 25 and higher because it's usually a more enjoyable experience and it's a lot less of a hassle.

I'll give crap to the old man that's in my clan, at least we used to. Until he got kicked out for always yelling at the kids to get off his lawn and turn down that gosh durn rap music.

I am only 13 (just turned the big 1-3) and I don't mind playing online with older people. If they like to play games, that is fine with me. Some of them may be a little slower reactions times, but I don't care. :tongue:

I'm 14, so I'll answer you're second bit. I prefer to play against older people because most people my age act like pillocks online and seem to insist on headphone usage while being pillocks. As people get older, they seem to stop doing such things. Makes online play much nicer

32 here prefer the old school crowd, and yes you don't have to scream in the mike to play on live.

I'm 25. I don't mind playing with the younger crowd as long as they act mature. That is the main reason why I DESPISE halo is because no one acts mature when playing that game online.
But I prefer to game with the 20-39 range, 40+ is out of the question :tongue: j/k
A college of mine used to invite his 50+ year old dad to play Gears with us, and he did, and he was annoying.

So to answer your question, it's cool that you can still find time to game and haven't completely grown up and realized that gaming is a waste of time. As long as you still spend time with your family(if you have one), then it's all good!

the only thing i hate whit "old" gamers is that they say such tings to me ass "you are waaaaay to young to play this game" i really really hate it! ok i am 15 and gta 4 is an 18 + but who cares? i am not some psycho kid who is going to kill everyone i see just because i can do it in a game, the only thing i want to say to them is "aren't you a little bit to old to play this game?" haha that makes them silent :P

other than that, i don't have any problem whit "old" gamers :)

14 and 1/2 as of yesterday. When I play on XBL, I'm usually in a party with Randomperson(claims to be 14), Drazial(no idea), Fearless987(again, no idea) and an assortment of other community members. While I usually play with people my age, I do from time to time play with adult members of the community, in example, Talkingship last Friday(He was drunk though, so I don't think that's a very good comparison.)

I'm 999,999,999 years old.

I'm 17, so I don't think I qualify for youngest or oldest.

Speaking of oldest, besides the mods and writers does anyone know who was the first "non-all powerful" member was?

You shouldn't be surprised. Us old guys have a lot of experience, despite our slightly slower reactions times. We also grew up with the joystick breaking era of frustration known as the 80s. Remember kids, we didn't have quicksave or checkpoints. If you died more than three times, you didn't go back 20 feet, you had to start the entire game over again.

I know all old people go on about how much harder it was in their day, but trust me on this one. :)

Yeah, I thought I was going to be an older guy, hence the "Old Married Gamer" acronym, but I'm only 30. And just for the record, I don't mind playing with guys that are much younger, as long as they aren't chatting over the mic about how lame it is that some other pre-teen's parents make them go to bed at a certain time on the weekend, or make random noises/racist comments/swear because they think its funny.

It's a much more enjoyable experience, there's less complaining (though they still take it seriously), you can keep a conversation with them, it's great.

It's always fun to meet intelligent, mature people playing games.

Playing against kids online aggrovates me. Both due to immaturity and their voice..urgh the whining irritates me. So i'd much prefer playing against people around my age or older.
