View Full Version : i need some help!
kim andre 03-09-2009, 09:04 AM ok i need some help and that fast, on school we will have a huge writing exam, and i am going to write about time, and what i am writing about is that i mean that time is irrelevant, that time does not exist, time is something man made, it is not an object or anything like that. it is just a system made to make everyday more easy.
ok here is what i need from you folks. i need some good formulated sentences i can use and some difficult words. and if you can find something that is protecting my theory plies add that in there ass well.
i don't care if you think my theory is stupid and stuff like that because that is not the point i just need help to find a little bit to write about.
and yes i do know there is a home work help group but there is no time for writing in there.

What makes you grow older?
haha fail!
regua 03-09-2009, 12:06 PM I think I'll write an essay disproving your theory just for the hell of it.
kim andre 03-09-2009, 12:07 PM time of course but what i meant was that time is not a physical object, it is a system made by man, time is a reaction of movement. time is something we say about how long it takes the earth to spin around the sun, time is something you get by taking a lock at your clock nothing more.

Did people ever say time was a physical object? That'd mean you can grab it, which you can't.
the man made object you speak off, is called a watch.

Good luck disproving Einstein's special relativity theory and the various scientific proofs for time dilation and the existence of spacetime.

well thank you, haha i need it, but the exam is not about fact it is about writing a 2 pages long esey about time, and i will write about what i believe time is. and my opinions about it
I Can Stop Time 03-09-2009, 03:35 PM Write about me Kim :P i know you want to.
But i get your theory, in a way are you trying to say that time is somthing that man simply speaks of and is not really existant as it is just a theory. (i cant really phrase it)

haha!!!! that was good very nice!
Time is completely relative. It is sometimes viewed as the "fourth dimension," the relationship between three-dimensional objects with mass existing on a plane with movement. To the human mind, we sometimes think of time as being a single, never-ending strand that if visible would trail off into the depths of space as far as we could possibly see. We imagine that, if we travel down that strand as fast as we could go, it would never end.
What if, however, time was not a single, linear infinite line on a graph? What if instead there was a vector to it, a sphere, if you will? What if the whole course of human history could be collaborated into a giant ball, and a more intelligent species or being could simultaneously view the different events as a whole instead of in what we refer to as "chronological sequence"?
Right now, wars are being fought, Rome is conquering tribes and forging a nation. In the same instant, workers are making bricks for the Tower of London while elsewhere man walks on the moon. The very idea defines a line between mortality and immortality; between present and omni-present.
Time may be a constant, something we are unable to escape while in a mortal form with an expiration date, but released of that linearized view of a beginning and an end, time can become something completely different.
