Hello. Been listening to the Red Show (and the Humpday Update till it got its own feed) since episode twenty-something, and I absolutely love the show. Had a double bill of Ep 69 and CES show on the drive to work this morning, and Doc's plea for people to join the community finally worked. So here I am!

I'm a 22-year-old games journalist in the UK with a 360, Wii, DS, PSP. I'm a loyal Nintendo gamer (not quite in fanboy territory, so please put down those disembowelling cutlasses) although I'm becoming increasingly swayed by my 360.

Hey guys and girls, I've known this site for ages from the podcasts to the videos. I Just got my wireless router fixed 2 months so i can play online now for the PS3 now. Hoping for great gaming with the community later on.

I'm in the same University and went to the same school as Yamster(Youlikeyams) aka RSG.
So he was the first guy i added in my PSN Network only problem is that game i like he doesnt play :P

I've been aware of SG for some time now, but only started listening to the podcast last week. I'm now hooked, listening to more than 2 episodes a day in an attempt to catch up =D. But I thought I'd give in to the message in the podcast and finally check out the forums.

My only complaint is that some of the early shows are missing from iTunes? But awesome stuff and I look forward to meeting up with some of you guys.

I've been a listener of the SG podcasts since I picked up my iPod last year and have completely enjoyed how they make me laugh on the bus ride in to work and the quality of them. Great entertainment!

So why did I joind now you ask? I've been listening for a while yet only joined now? Oddly enough...the Pink show brought me here!

Most of the podcasts had this enjoyment of just listening to them when they came out, but the Pink show has an element that the other's don't: Leslie. Why? Because she is trying to get into the gaming culture and that is a very unique angle that that show has and I just had to make a comment about what I'd love to hear in the show on a weekly basis (I'll post that comment here for lack of better place to put it for the moment...I am new to the site after all)

What I would like to hear in the Pink show is not for Leslie to try various titles and report on what, in her words, she sucks at this week. What I want to hear from her is how she latches onto a game, such as Fable 2, and from week to week grows into the gamer lifestyle through her advancement in the game. I want to hear anecdotes about her latest adventures during the past week and where she is looking to go in the game next. I don't even care if it takes her all year to beat the game! I do want to hear how she progresses and ultimately hear how she feels after beating her first grand-scale game. I don't think non-gamers or casual gamers really appreciate the longer, deeper games until they've finally completed their first large game, felt the joy of having succeeded and are able to reflect on what they've done.

Anyhow, that's my comment and the thing that finally pushed me to cross the line from a passive fan of the podcasts to an actual poster here at the site.

Hey everyone.

I recently discovered SG Pink on the Zune Marketplace (well...this morning, actually). I quickly became hooked on it, and ended up listening to all of the episodes in one sitting. Afterwards, I decided to check out the actual website. So, here I am.

I've been an avid female gamer ever since I first played Spyro on PS1 back in Kindergarten, and I've been hooked ever since. I bought the PS2 the day it came out (and I pride myself that I still have it; the slim ones suck), and I pretty much grew up playing Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, and Ace Combat. As a Sony fan, getting a PS3 was my goal...until I saw the pricetag. I ended up with a 360, and I couldn't ask for anything better. Currently, I spend my time playing Fallout 3, CoD4, Ace Combat 6, and The Orange Box. If only, if only I still had XBL.

What really brought me to the site was the astounding power this community has displayed with the rest of the gaming media. Also how Doc, Dave, and Lono positively use their listeners to join together to convey a message. (IE, Extra Life // Bad Company Boycott).

I am an aspiring video game journalist whom i wished to work at 1up, but since their downfall, i am drifting around these other communities forums. Hoping to positively contribute to these communities.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Figured since I've been trying to participate w/ twitter I should introduce myself. I listen to the podcasts religiously (red, orange, pink, and a smattering of the community casts) and read the news via RSS.

Me: xbox, recovering MMORPG'er, and closin in on 40; which basically means I dont have as much time to spend gaming as I'd like due to work, wife, dog, house, yadda yadda yadda. Currently spending my time getting achievements on past games to up my average (yeah, sick I know). Itching to get involved with a NA game night as soon as I can make the time (and pull away from BSG =)

Anyway, great site! Love the community even if I dont tend to have the time to participate.

This is my first post (other than pointing out the size of PacMan's fingers). I'm 32, from the UK and my wife kindly bought me a shiny new PS3 for Christmas. Since then I have been catching up with PS news through the blue show. I'm up to episode 33 at the moment and 16hours of Rothbart, Frawls and PacMan has kinda made me feel like Sarcastic Gamer is my buddy.

I have also been stacking up the games and have burnout paradise, little big planet, fifa 09, assasins creed, call of duty world at war (not played yet as I got it today) and overlord (well it sounded kinda funny).

Anyone else from the UK looking to trounce a newbie look me up as paul_baz through playstation.

Hi. My name is Keith. I probably have been a member here for awhile but haven't posted too much because lately I haven't been playing games as often. I found out about the board from the redshow. I'm gonna try to be more active than I have been though. I named myself consolerpgdude because mainly thats what I played on Super Nintendo and PS1 and thats what most of the older games I own still are even though I haven't played them as often because I think my attention span has gotten shorter it seems. I'm gonna try to start back gaming some. I recently was given a PS3 but since it seems it still only at this late date that it has about 3 or 4 games either out or coming out i'm interested in it'll probably still be DualScreen or PS2 for awhile.

You guys and girls will probably see me around here posting more often. I love All the three main podcasts, the humpday update and a lot of the community casts. Great setup you guys have here and i'm glad to be here.

Thought I'd pop on here and just say hey to everyone. Been listening to the Red show and HDUD for the past number of months now. I'm one of the few that get it via the Zune marketplace. I've just recently found out about the SG Podcasts from a friend and listen to HDUD and Red shows as they come out. I love podcasts and am into podcasting. Have done podcasts before but they were really trial runs that went nowhere. Looking to create a community show sometime soon with a friend, Steve (the one who introduced me to SG). I'll make sure he signs up on the forums ASAP.

I concur, you NEED a real current gen console and obviously that doesn't include the Wii. So yes you should either get an Xbox360 or a PS3 but that's your decision i wouldn't want to influence it *cough* Get PS3 *cough*

Well basically all you need to do is click on 'User CP' at the top of the page, just under the header picture and then choose what you want to edit eg. avatar, sig, etc. from the left hand column. If you need anything else send me a PM and I'll find out from somebody who actually knows what's going on around here :lol:

I'm an animator from Toronto, and the dude responsible for the VGS Emilio mascot, although Keith created 'im. Man, the crap that comes out of Keith's head, God I love that guy. Also animated the 'Extra Life' trailer, although Doc is the one what added the audio icing...damn, he good. Been listenin' to Doc ever since he guest-starred on the VGS, good grief, like 2-3 yars agoo? Any hoo, uhmm...howyadoin?

Just signed up, I got back into gaming a couple of years ago, first on a friend's Wii, then my own Wii (that hasn't gotten played since I got a PS3 about a year and a half ago), but I just got my Xbox 360 a couple months ago, I got it to play a few of the exclusives and especially the DLC exclusives. Played through GTAIV again and the Lost and Damned DLC, Fable II, and just finished the Left 4 Dead main stories. I want to play some online matches of L4D and Civ Revolution, that I have, but haven't played yet. Other than those, I ordered Fallout 3 and will play through that again, and the subsequent DLC, may wait till BoS though for the DLC .

Couple other things I need to get are a headset and probably Fifa.

Haven't played much online, a few rounds of both GTA and L4D, but I definitely want to play some more L4D.
