Long time lurker, first time poster... 343 days of lurking, according to the nagging note at the top of the page.

I'm Chris from the UK. I've been listening to the podcast since number 1 (pre-Lono) but didn't really have the time to join in with the forum community. I've posted comments on the site a few times. The ExtraLife effort struck a chord with me, so I just want to say good luck to everybody involved in that - I can't play on the day, but I've sponsored Doc all ready.

I run a 360, PS2, DS, and a Dell XPS700 (that's about 18 months old now). I enjoy RPGs, so Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights etc. I steer clear of MMORPGs because I suffered from a nasty EQ addiction back in the day. They are truly the creation of the devil :lol: I also love the Live Arcade games - just switch on and play!

Hopefully I'll be able to spend a bit more time contributing to your great community here.

LOL, so much about Too Human. I played the demo and thought it was pretty kool. Then, I heard how all the reviewers hated it. Then, Lono apparently is in love with it. I'll prolly rent it from Gamefly and give it a try.

i have been a member here for a long time and i have just been able to get back online. So this is my re-introduction. I love video games but i cannot always get them. I am a broke teenager, so getting my hands on some of the latest titles is not always easy. I love gears of war, which is on my old gamertag, and COD4, but recently i have been getting bored with those games, and because i cannot get any new ones i play a lot of demos. well thats about it and i am looking foward to having a lot of fun with you guys over the next couple of years.

Thanks; We pay for satellite internet at our JSS.. don't have much downtime but on certain days, if there's no missions then there's no missions.. it's good too because these strykers suck and break down a lot. Takes 4 hours to take it apart and fix a $0.10 O-Ring..

War has changed in the past year anyway.. it's gone from combat to mainly humanitarian aid.

I'm from Winnipeg Canada, and i've pretty much been playing video games my whole life (started with doom), I joined the forums some time ago but only actually started posting recently, as for the how i found this great community, i stumbled in from the SG podcast which happens to be the first gaming podcast i had ever been able to listen too, (though since then i`ve branched out into the rest of the GC network). so yeah that's about it, hello to everyone again eh :)

Howdy all. I'm Mike, a 27 year-old (primarily) console gamer in the bustling metropolis of College Station, Texas. I was introduced to SG through the Orange and Red shows, which I've been listening to regularly since March, and I'm a huge fan of the shows and what I've heard about the community. I've been wanting to get involved for quite a while now, but have been hesitant to jump in. Well, here goes nothing!

Anyway...I've been gaming pretty much since before I could walk, and I cut my teeth on the 2600, PC, and NES, and I've moved up to the 360. I've always been more of an action/adventure gamer, but I'll take anything with a good story to it. Crono Trigger, Final Fantasy II, and Dragon Warrior got me into RPGs as a kid, and I've played a few since then, but seldom played all the way through. I'm still on disc 4 of Lost Odyssey *shame*. I'm not a big sports game fan, but I do love the NFS and Burnout series, for some strange reason. I can generally be found at least once a day on XBL, and I'm primarily playing Crackdown, CoD 4, Oblivion, Burnout Paradise, Dead Space, Rock Band 2, The Orange Box, Bioshock, Castle Crashers, or other random XBLA games. Thanks for readin thus far, and I look forward to all the n00b comments in response!

Firstly and Foremost, I'm an RPG Fanatic (well, obsessive, but fanatic sounds better) to be more specific I'm a "JRPG" Fanatic. I love games like the Xeno-series, Shadow Hearts series, Shin Megami Series, Suikoden series ect. ect. I think you get the point. Sadly, it means I've been limited in the array of games I've played. I'm only just discovering the joy of FPS, and not a moment too soon with the next Gen Consoles displaying a barrage of amazing (and some not-so-amazing) FPS.

I've never played an MMORPG because my social life is bad enough thank you. I own a PS3 but sadly can't stay connected to my internet long enough to do any online gaming. I'll have to get it sorted before LittleBigPlanet and Guitar Hero: World Tour arrive or else I'll go insane.

I'm big on music, from Rock to Drum'n'bass to basically anything. Muse and Mars Volta hold a special place in my heart as do many other bands. I'd bang on about my favourite music but I'll save you the torture.

I'm a huge Film nut. I'm the kind of person that people hate going to the cinema with because I'll pull a film to pieces. I am constantly perplexed by David Lynch for the simple fact of no matter how much I watch his films, I still can't work out whether I absolutely love them or hate them.

At the moment I'm going to college, working and trying to learn Japanese on the side (I'm such a cliché) Whilst trying to clutch onto the remains of a social life and get in some gaming.

As I said, I hate introductions because it rarely represents me properly... but it'll do. I'm sure I'll have fun and stick about (How many times have you heard THAT before? Who knows, I might surprise you and actually stick around).

In answer to your questions Sire, I hail from a small village in the south of the green and pleasant land of Albion (or England) and as to your second quesetion, due to limited financial empowerment, I don't have a current-gen console (I had a DS but I sold it. Yahtzee's adage about Nintendo products not having lasting appeal is, in my case totally, totally right), but I do most of my gaming at friend's houses, who all have either 360's, PC's or Wiis. Most of them tend to get lots of new releases, so I find that I tend to play more new games than a lot of people I know.

Ummm... does anyone know how to get youtube videos onto my signature, I would appreciate it!

When you watch the youtube video, there will be two text boxes under the description of the video. The second one is "embed". Copy this onto your sig in the user CP, and then highlight the text and press the "Wrap [YOUTUBE] tags around selected text" button.

Just whanted to say hello. I like the podcast. l downloaded it when i first got my zune. that was a year ago and i just now got on the fourms. Thanks for all the hard work you do on the podcast. It helps my work day go bye fast.
