Unknown “gaming humorists” at SarcasticGamer.com shocked the world of gaming journalism in an unprecedented event. Instead of making fun of a video game, they’ve decided to launch their own!

Virtua Writer 6!

Site founder Jeromy “Doc” Adams responded,

“We were tired of just writing silly articles, and songs that poked fun at how bad some games are. Instead we decided to launch a game of our own. With Virtua Writer 6 you get the true SarcasticGamer experience … whether you like it or not.”

When questioned what happened to Virtua Writer 1through 5, SarcasticGamer.com site editor who only refers to himself as “Lono” said,“They just weren’t good enough so I scrapped them… besides 6 just sounds cool, you got a problem with that?!”

In Virtua Writer 6 you play as a hard working family man who tries to juggle his stressful job, wife and children, and play video games, all while trying to run a small, unknown, mostly crappy video game website for free in his spare time!

In a recent press release SarcasticGamer.com listed some of the features that are sure to make VW-6 the next major hit!

http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/vw6-2.jpg

Race Against Time! - There are only 24 hours in a day and you’ve got a lot to do! Using a strategic time management interface you must find a way to keep your job, your wife happy, make sure your articles don’t suck, and still try to play the games you love! Failure in anything results in a sacrifice of game time that will make you sad.
Writer’s Block Boss Battles – In these intense fights, you must defeat the evil and annoying Writer’s Block to get that article done or face the consequences! Your only weapon is a keyboard that doubles as a baseball bat. Failure results in a sacrifice of game time that will make you sad.
Family Face Off! – Your wife’s happy meter is tricky to level up. It’s imperative you make the right choices or you could end up sleeping on the couch, which forces your energy meter into a state of “grumpiness” … as well as a sacrifice in game time that will make you sad.
Argument Minigame Trap – if you make the wrong decision in your job, you are often confronted with a special argument mini-game where no matter what choice you make, the answer is wrong. This won’t sacrifice game time, but it will still make you sad.
Happy Time – Your character gets to play the game of his choice often resulting in a loss of time, and a possible firing – but at least you are no longer sad!

And if you buy Virtua Writer 6: Collector’s Edition you also get a bonus!

Video Developer Swag Grab Mini game - grab as much free stuff as you can!

Virtua Writer 6 the first TRUE SarcasticGamer.com experience … time to play it not included.

I'm sorry, but this can't be the "true" experiance. there's no mocking of Dave, no taunting of Lono, and no booze mentioned at all.

Very nice! I can envision the types of enemies you could run into in mini-games ...

The Rabid Fanboy: You insulted his treasured console, publisher, game title, or controller setup! Now you must dodge witty barbs such as "U suk!!!1" and "you dont no anythig about gamez!!!1!" until he gets distracted by another poster.

The Grammar Nazi: Uh-oh. You missed a comma in your latest posting. Now the Grammar Nazi has you in his crosshairs. Avoid being drawn into the vortex that is the discussion of the semi-colon, or loss of time and ensuing sadness will drag you down.

Out-Of-Context Man: One sentence. On a joke article. One tiny little sentence. This is where Out-Of-Context Man thrives! Run in terror as he takes the sentence, post quotation marks around it, and spend the better part of three paragraphs explaining how this comment shows that you are not only out-of-touch with real gamers, but also a drug-addled serial killer with an IQ of 6.

Sounds like fun! :)

Hahahaha, I picked this game up two weeks ago and have been hating, I mean loving it ever since.

The pleasing the wife part is definitely the toughest part of the game. But then again, I struggled with that before I got this game.

Hmm, didn't everyone just say in another COD 4 thread that a game doesn't have to have co-op to be next gen? ;)

SupaSlick! You're not accusing me of intentionally trolling re: the new Sarcastic Gamer game, while at the same time taking a jab at another poster on this board, are you? Because if you are, I am shocked and appalled!

Hey - it was our first game - it was bound to be missing a few things. ;)

Perhaps all this extra missing content could spawn a new sequel or spin-off? Hmm *makes mental note*

Sequels are so twentieth century ... do a prequel! That way you can pack in lots of plot holes, anachronisms, and paradoxes!

Don't forget the witty subtitle ... something along the lines of "Lono: The Early Years." or "How Slick Got Supa"

This game is just WAY too hard. I'm trading it in for Mario Galaxy...or maybe Plinko.
