I have huge respect for Doc n' Dave, but man, I've gotta say....I can allready tell the amazing chemistry you had with Lono has started to slipp :sad:

Why are you guys passing judgment? I don't understand it. They will be fine... We'll all miss Lono, but how can you seriously go on saying you feel the end coming? There hasn't even been a new red show yet.

Although saddened at the same time I am extremely stoked to hear what Doc & Dave are going to be giving us.

You're going to need to give them time to get the kinks worked out when they start back up, it's going to happen. When one little element of something that's been going strong for 80 (79) episodes is taken away it needs adjusting.

I have full confidence in them to pull it off, I listen to the red show almost every night I have work and it helps the time go by a little quicker.

Good episode guys, I'm really glad you picked up World at War Doc, nice to see at least one other person that RECENTLY picked it up!

Zombie mode is a blast, it starts out calm with strategic planning and then it builds up into a ferocious panic.

Not really all that interested in Assassins Creed 2, I only played about 3 hours of the first one and couldn't take it anymore... I thought it was extremely boring, I' think about giving it a second chance but then I think "I don't feel like running in a white room for 2 minutes before I can start playing"

Can't wait to hear the next episode of the Red Show with parody song!

The chemistry we had with Lono is gone. It left when he did.

The proof is in the pudding, and we're cooking up some shit for the next episode that is either going to make you burp or make you gag.

Man I don't know about you guy's but I liked this episode and I am happy for Lono he has to do what he has to do but I like to see this as the glass half full(and thats a first for me) I think it is a new beginning I even wrote in to the red show "back to basics" is not a bad thing I am interested to see what Doc and Dave come up with.

This is going to be an adjustment but sometimes change can be good. Change is the spice of life. Besides, Lono is on alot of previous podcasts. We will always have something to remember him by. Now it is time to accept it and move on. Doc and Dave are still here. To be honest, I am a little excited to hear episode 81 now after hearing the humpday update.

Im excited for the Episode 81 but I have my worries that it's going to become less about video games and more of a comedy random chat podcast.

Oh I forgot to say, Do you think one of the reasons you haven't finished Far Cry 2 would be the ridiculous amount of driving you have to do? That kind of stopped me from playing it.

It just seemed like every time I was trying to find a new mission, I'd drive for 10 minutes while encountering about 4 jeeps and I just got tired of getting out and fixing mine every 2 minutes.

Also I found it very hard to find the enemy... Like I would just keep taking damage and when I'd go in the direction I got hit the guy was no where to be found.

Here's a small suggestion though... Lono said he might be back on another episode of the red show in the future... how cool would that be if he came back (only for one show) the show on episode 100? In any case, that was still a very good humpday update and good luck to both Doc and Dave (and anyone who might join the team in the future). Good luck to Lono too! He has an amazing talent and I'm sure he's gonna be back on another podcast in the future... one that would require a bit less work maybe?

Reminds me of when Chris Hoss left the VideoGamesShow. That show hasn't been the same since. Course he was the host and carried the show. Doc and Dave will do fine. I'm not going anywhere. Still, can't help but feel my grandma died. Never cared much for her any way but still a loss. ;}

Harsh but fair. The Red Show has been stuck in a rut because it was easier to just get together and talk for a little while and put that out than it was to do shows like we used to.

My whole life has been this community for the past 2 years, and whether I post in the forums or answer my 550 pm's I arrange most of my life around this community.

This HAS NOT been the case for the past several months, as I have in that time endured several personal crisis (plural) and changed to a new job that I am still, after a month, adjusting to.

So yeah, we're bringing this show back to the community, the whole damned site.

It's not Lono's departure that's causing this directly, but I think we all recognize this as an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and get back to what this site was supposed to be from the beginning. By the people, for the people and of the people. And jokes... And occasional parody songs.

Candor is appreciated. Duly noted.

Played more Zombie Mode last night with Lono, Truth and MosEisley. We had a pretty good plan but at some point on that first map it really gets chaotic. the newer one was a blast though. Harder, in this case, is better.:w00t:

You should go up via the spawn room with the three windows. Zombies do not come up from under the random weapon box with this route, so you really just have to focus on windows in the kitchen and side room. two guys can hold down the hall way with the fast reload cola. Works well for us.

Bummer about Lono, but this is life.

I gotta say, I like the new turn toward the community. At the New Media Podcasting panel at PAX, you said you based your show off of your community, make the show about them. I was starting to think those were empty words, but I foresee a turn for the better now.

The thing that drew me to SG was the honest opinions about games and the industry. As long as you all continue to be honest and your passion comes out in the podcasts, people will continue to listen.

While I don't mind a two-man podcasts, a third voice really helps voice the podcast, since Lono was so loud (not decibel or volume wise), that "extreme opinion" no longer really exists and thus, slows the podcast. Hearing what you two of you have to say because you are likely to disagree, but hearing the extreme and sometimes outlandish opinions I think will be merely absent.

I truly hope for the best of you guys and Lono, his presence will be sorely missed.

I haven't listened to the show yet (probably won't till the weekend when I normally sync my podcasts), but I'm hoping it's good, obviously.

Things will be awkward without Lono for a while, but I see it as a good opportunity for both Doc and Dave to get their opinions out there more. Lono seemed to take over the conversation, and granted, he played the most games, but I always thought he was talking down to them...Dave because he isn't successful at many things, and Doc because he barely played games.

I always thought of it as Lono being sarcastic...but seeing as how Doc said the chemistry is gone, I can't help but think that Lono really was a jerk to them.

Either way, I'm excited to see what Doc and Dave have in store. It'll be interesting to see where Lono goes, too.

While this is a trying time for the Sarcastic Community (and with War on the way things are going to get worse before they get better) it is a measure of the strength of a person (or in this case, a community) that is shown by how you chose to deal with adversity and when the dust settles, given a bit of time to heal, it could be the impetus to improve the community for the better.

The Red show will be a large part of that. I'll be the first to admit I'll miss Lono :sad: and his influence, but both the Red Show and Sarcastic Gamer are bigger than Lono. Both were there before him and both will be there afterwards. :thumbsup:

I'll be honest, the show felt off and discussion about Lono felt a bit forced. I twittered Lono that the show wasn't interesting. In hindsight yeah it was harsh.

We know Doc and Dave have good personalities and a sense of humor and Dave's production skills are awesome. I guess I'll miss the side of the show that's extreme with Lono's take, but life goes one. I'm eager to hear episode 81 and what you guys have to offer. Now, on to the other SG shows.

Yes we're all going to miss Lono. As for the two hosts vs. three hosts it depends on the hosts. The now kaput Game Theory podcast had three hosts (one would occasionally be missing from the show for the week) and it was amazingly brilliant. Other shows have two hosts and they can also be terrific.

But if you guys need the Chicago voice let me know. :grin:

Doc, you were bellyaching about what you called the trailer for Assassin's Creed 2. You were going on about how it didn't reveal anything about the game at all. I don't know what you were watching but I would like to try out your time machine. What else have you learned from your trip to the future? All I can say is that for those of us living in the month of April 2009 the trailer for Assassin's Creed 2 has not been released yet. All we've gotten is the teaser for the game (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jbd1L44TlEE). Generally speaking teasers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teaser_trailer) are not meant to be revealing about anything except what the very basic mood or theme will be and what it is you're actually watching the teaser for. Maybe it will include a vague release date. A trailer is when you see actual footage, find out who the characters are, and what the story will be about.

And yes Dave was right about the sketches being DaVinci's. What I took for this is that the game will probably place you sometime around the Renaissance, and will incorporate the Priory of Sion. But as any good teaser should, it did not tell us any more than that.

It sucks, we all liked Lono, but him being gone didn't hurt the podcast all that much. It was different (Dave sure is funny when he is allowed to talk, and he has a lot to say!) but I'm staying positive about the change. Supa said he'd be glad to return a while ago, and I think that would be sweet.
