Thank you for the Birthday shoutout .

The Metacritic topic will most likely not be taken seriously. The libraries of the consoles are not equal as the Xbox 360 probably doubles the library size of the PS3. This would of been the same case if the tables were turned when comparing the Xbox to the PS2. The PS2 dwarfs the Xbox in terms of overall games but would most likely end up with a much lower percentage due to that larger library of games.

The M.A.G quote made me laugh. That kind of game can be done on any current gen system, including the Wii. Most of the workload will be done on the server side. They are doing the same exact thing that Joint Operations did years ago. Just on a larger scale. Where the PS3 does have an advantage is in the physics power of there CPU. It can handle more instructions given by code. So if M.A.G was a third party game & ended up on both consoles, it would be very much superior on the PS3 in many ways.

Good on you, PacMan, for getting a DS. It is a good system. It does have a lot of crap, but it's golden titles are solid gold. If you didn't get them for your first DS, then check out: FF III, FF IV, Zelda, Ouendan 1 & 2(import), GTA, Professor Layton, Ninja Gaiden, Metroid, and the new Super Mario. The big difference that you will notice with the DSi is the new screen. I can't imagine playing GTA on the old tiny screen.

Rothbart: I think I remember you saying in a past episode that one of the things that keeps you from most FPS is the lack of the keyboard/mouse. Well when it comes out you may want to look into the mLani Mobi. I plan on getting it. It is essentially a high end FragFX(the half mouse/half sixaxis controller). It will have 2000 dpi, 500 Hz refresh rate, and will be compatible with the PC.

This is directed towards PMPB and is just a question really that anyone can respond to if they feel like.

In regards to the new Nintendo DSi, I can't imagine why one would spend MORE on the DSi instead of getting the DSlite. The improvements are not that vast, this is especially true if this will be your first ( read only ) DS. You gain a camera but you lose the ability to play GBA games and any peripherals that use the GBA slot. It doesn't seem like a good trade off to me. I was thinking of getting a DS as well in the near future and because of those reasons I was going to get a DS lite, to me the camera means nothing but I wouldn't want to miss out on the great collection of GBA games.

But that's why they're dealing in percentages. I could understand if one console had 5 games and the other had 500, 5 is too few, but neither console has so few games that percentages are skewed by a title or two. I think percentage-wise, it's totally reasonable to discuss in that way. I also think to a large degree, metacritic is usefel when used appropriately. It's not "law" and you can't nitpick fine numeric discrepancies, but it shouldn't reflect large variances from what other sources say about games.

The M.A.G quote made me laugh. That kind of game can be done on any current gen system, including the Wii.

Wait... which part of whoring out games on novelty did I miss that every system and every developer ignored doing 256-player gaming on consoles to this point? I mean we have games that their claim to fame is "I'm in black and white" or "I have a crazy physics engine" or something silly like that.

You don't think if all the systems could do that so easily that someone wouldn't have even come CLOSE to that before? The highest number I can think of off the top of my head is 60-players in Resistance 2.

You're expecting me to believe that Wii developers could so a game like MAG (a game we realistically know very little about, by the way)? I'd love to hear more about what your train of thought is there... it might be off the tracks!

That's an easy off-topic question to answer... for $40 more (that's all, $40) you get the cameras, which may not be compelling now, but might matter in the future... but you get SD storage and access to their online store to download games. You don't get that with the DS Lite from what I understand. Also, for me... and only on new DSi specific games, you can use real frickin' wireless security on the thing instead of WEP. To be honest though, the marketplace access and get apps without the cartridges is where it's at. You can download the Opera browser instead of placing a cartridge in there. User replaceable memory card storage is a big deal.

I didn't know those facts, not much of an Nintendo freak, but still the camera is a non factor for me. If in the future the camera plays a pivotal role in a game the system would certainly be cheaper by then. Although I just don't see that happening why would a publisher automatically rule out a large audience by requiring the camera. Its just a novelty in my eyes.

The SD storage and access could be a plus, that is if the games you are able to download are worth it and priced right, I am of the thinking they will be just another way to suck money from you and the releases would be few and far between just like VC. I would rather have immediate access to a large collection of GBA games that for the most part can be easily found for cheap. However the wireless security is a big deal.

The new DSi does have potential, maybe I am just pessimistic. Anyways, thanks for the response.

Thanks for not leaving out the "WEEEEEEE". It's a staple of the Blu show, and with all the changes on the site, it was appreciated.
