If you want to get Crysis, wait until the start of May when the maximum edition is released. You can get Crysis, Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars for $39.99.

personally i always buy my games from a retail store so that i get the cds. i like having the cds because if i want to install the game but dont have the internet i still can and its almost always faster to install off the cds instead of downloading it then installing it

sometimes its faster downloading and installing that driving to the store and installing. or rummaging thru old boxes and installing tho :P

...unless the retail copy ALSO demands steam... then it's faster to just download it.

I would say steam. Always faster and I never have install problems.

Well if the retail uses steam, all you do is put in the cd-key in your steam account.... and presto... you have download, too...

Crysis: Yes, but you have the whole limit install thing if you get the download.... and there is no deauthorization tool for it.
Crysis Warhead: No, but you will have limit installs... HOWEVER you will also be able to get them back via deauthorization tool downloaded from EA. http://www.ea.com/games/crysis-warhead. (Keep in mind, this is true of the Steam version too)

Hmm, Crysis:Maximum edition is being released, so, will it be on steam? And will it be Install Limit Free on steam cos like all the new EA games on steam are install limit free?

What? I really doubt that.

I agree with Viatrophy, wait until the bundle comes out. If you don't want to wait, though, I would say go retail because you don't have to worry about having a downloading problem or anything.

Im going to say if you can wait, wait to see how the bundle works. If EA releases a tool to get back activations you are done with for Crysis OR if Crysis still remains CD check DRM, then grab the bundle. If not, then grab Warhead however you like, but seek out a disc copy of Crysis.

I believe EA might just be ditching DRM

I thought they were locked into a deal with SecuROM.... well, whatever... Im honestly willing to let it be with a deauthorization tool and get back my installs.
