You read the title above and you just know that it has to be Killzone 2. *I mean, come on…that’s the only PS3 exclusive in the last few months that has moved any copies right?* You are wrong my friend.* Hit the jump to see what game topped Killzone 2 as the top selling PS3 game in March!

Welcome back….so you ready?* While Killzone 2 was busy selling 296,000 copies in the US in March, MLB 09: The Show came in at 305,000 copies, 9000 more than what the Helghast were selling. *Does this mean that MLB 09: The Show is a better game that Killzone 2? *YES!* Yes it does!!!

OK, so maybe sales numbers don’t mean that one game is better than another (Call of Duty 3 anyone?) but these results do show that The Show has a growing fan base. *Personally, I have put 40 plus hours into MLB 09: The show and only three into Killzone 2.

That means in the month of march (and first half of April) I have wasted 43 hours of my life on video games…you’re disappointed in me aren’t you? *So am I….that number should be much much higher.

Killzone 2 has already sold more than 1 million copies worldwide. Hardly disappointing. Keep in mind that NPD only tracks sales in the U.S.

@Havok yepyep...KZ2 isn't suffering by any means. Good reminder brotha!

I'm not surprised MLB 09: The Show is selling well. MLB 2k9 is not a good baseball game IMO, and there are many baseball fans wanting a good simulation baseball game every year (baseball is a popular sport in the U.S.). Also, SCEA is definitely advertising the game a lot, because whenever I watch sports games on ESPN and such, I see a commercial for the game heavily showcasing the PS3 version (previous years, they didn't really say much about the PS3 version).

KZ2 on the other hand is actually doing quite well. Uncharted, LBP, R2, etc. didn't sell as well as KZ2 did in the same time frame, which is pretty good. Outside of GT3 and God of War, most games SCEA publishes just aren't too big of sellers, especially at full price (they tend to sell very well at GH, especially last gen). Selling over 600k in NA so far with KZ2 (and probably double once you add Europe) is pretty good IMO.

ummm....The PS3 version of MLB:09 The Show is the ONLY version (this gen). That's why it's an exclusive :thumbsup:

Good point, I live in the UK and I've never even heard of that game. I don't know much about MLB (Which i have a clue what sport it is btw, basketball or baseball I'm guessing) but i doubt it will sell all that much outside of the US.
