As I said in the headline,*I was standing in line at Best Buy the other day and I noticed the guy in front of me was holding a rather large box containing a PS3. He was also carrying a couple of other things as he clinged to the box. The nerd in me was wondering what was the first game he picked up to start his adventures with Sony.

The answer might shock you.

Gripped together he had the remote for the BluRay player, a DualShock 3 and…and…Dead Space? I almost tapped the guy on the shoulder to ask him about his game selection. Not that Dead Space was a bad game, it’s just not the first game I would have gone with were I to pick up a PS3 today.

My*suggestion would have been MGS4 or Killzone 2, but I refrained because I think that may have come across as a little creepy. “Excuse me sir, I couldn’t help but notice that you buying Dead Space with your PS3. Would you like to go back to the PS3 game rack so I can show you what you should be playing?”

However, it’s not*creepy for me to ask you kind folks sitting in the audience today. Come to think of it, it might be… who cares. Regardless of whether or not you have or want one, this questions for you. If you bought a PS3 today, what would be the first game you’d pick up?

I'd buy MGS4. Still, imo the best game to come out this generation.

I did and still would buy GT5: Prologue. Only £15 and the best looking game on the PS3 imo.

I would have totally bought Dead Space.

I can't see why you're complaining.

I have a small list, but I would have grabbed either The Force Unleashed or LittleBigPlanet. Or, wait and get inFamous. Those are my top 3 PS3 games right there.

I'd have to go with Killzone 2 as my first choice, LBP as my second.

Killzone 2 without a doubt.
But since I know what that game is like I would've advised myself to buy COD4 instead.
Or MGS 4.

If someone put a gun to my head and forced me to shell out 500 bucks for a PS3 (as that is the only scenario I can come up with in which I actually buy one), Dead Space would be a fantastic choice. Little Big Planet would be a solid choice, as well. And if inFamous turns out to be as good as it looks, that would round out the selections nicely.

Probably Warhawk, but I would heavily consider both BioShock and Dead Space.
