Arkham Asylum isn't the best game choice for Lesley, I think.
I have seen about 5 minutes of gameplay, and the game required a lot of patience and quick movement.

Wait a sec, Harley, you couldn't even tell Lesley what you do in the game, so that means that you're not sure yourself. So... you got hyped for the game from seeing a few cutscene videos?

I talked about what I do know and have read/seen. The story synopsis is the Joker set a trap for Batman at the Asylum and now he has to fight all the villains to get to the Joker and save Gotham.

Lesley wanted to know what the game is about and that's the story in a nutshell. I don't recall recommending the game for her to play it. It's a title I'm anticipating.

Yes, I want to play this game. No one truly knows what a game is all about until they actually get their hands on it.

Is there anyone actually here who buys a game without knowing what it's about? (Not counting the Rental Roulette, obviously)
If I buy a game, I already know what I'm getting.

I like to buy games that have pretty covers. If the cover art is good, I"ll buy almost anything.

Now everything is pink! But your show still stinks! j/k :P

I'd be like "shut up, I'm a play my video games, you make the dinner, that I bought you with my working money." Marry me! I make dinner AND play video games!

Really, really great episode ladies.

Ha! I do that too JaX, and only occasionally I burn stuff!

@Ventilaator, I buy plenty of games without knowing what they are about. Most of the time I generally only know that the game I'm buying is a fighting game/racing game/rpg...that's really all I need to go on. I have also been let down by crappy games that I bought without knowing what they were. *Kahtochogen anyone? That was the second xbox game I ever bought. I bought it because the tittle sounded cool, but the game ended up being total crap! Then, gamestop wouldn't take it back.

Another game that I bought without really knowing what it was about, was Mass Effect. Man, I'm glad I took a chance on that one!:cool2:

To cut this short, if you don't take chances on games, you may end up missing a really great game that didn't get much of a chance, as far as getting itself noticed. ie: Pyscronauts.

I can make dinner, while I play video games, AND clean up, AND ask a girl how her day was and tell her she is beautiful...all the while mainting a 1.87 Kill-to-Death ratio in Killzone 2! Point, PMPB. :)

I loved Psychonauts too. That is one of TWO xbox titles I actually hung onto when I transitioned over to the XBox 360. Really neat game.

There are cheaper ways of finding obscure gems. Like, asking people for obscure gems on a forum, and then looking it up to see if it's something you'd like and then buying it.

Or maybe I'm just weird like that.

I find it more fun to discover gems for myself.:cool2:

You are incorrect, ma'am. I am notoriously known for impulse buying. Especially anything Star Wars, bouncy balls, dart accessories....etc...

Oh yeah, and I'm a dude.:cool2:

But I think trying to discover gems and ending up with piles and piles of crap games isn't fun at all.

Loved the song by the way, hope to hear more in the future.

I'm not buying a game completely blind. I know the genre and story and more or less what will take place but not every single thing that is going to happen in a game.

Do you go to the movies already knowing all the dialogue and the ending of the movie? I think not. You have an idea and hope the movie (or game) live up to what you think it's about.

Actually, is a guy thing too, or at least something I do, you should see how much $ Thinkgeek.com and Amazon have gotten from me.

Knowing all the dialogue and the ending is way further down the line than that.

"I know the genre and story and more or less what will take place but not every single thing that is going to happen in a game."

So... you know what the game is about...

Now let's get away from this frickin' topic, because I feel like I'm spamming here.

So...will we get an mp3 of the song or do I have to secretly rip it in secret?

And about Jax's child cutting her eyebrows, my 4 year old brother came to me with a pair of scissors in his hand and said, while giggling "I don't know how my hair got shorter"
