Square-Enix bought Eidos! Congratulations on your purchase, people on the investment committee at Square-Enix! Congratulations on having a lot of money to work with, people who work for Eidos! High fives and Jägermeister (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J%C3%A4germeister) for everyone!

But wait, this is not an excuse for shared hand claps and herbal liqueurs. Someone should be worried about the quality of their output! Who is in charge of that? I am? Balls, I hate it when it’s my turn to miss out on the party, I heard Phil Rogers brought cake and ice cream.

So, I guess I have to write a feature then.

Y?ichi Wada told interviewers:“Obviously we have some creative concerns with the properties we’ve recently gained. We just want to assure you right away that we’re not going to make any big changes”.

Alright, consider me settled Mr.CEO, anything else to add?

“We’ve compiled a list of things that we’re interested in altering, I’m sure you’ll agree that there’s nothing major here”.

I’ve enclosed the aforementioned list below. I don’t see anything radically different from Eidos’ body of work up until this point:

Thief:

Testers found that the inclusion of one class limited their overall experience, the game will be renamed Hero and will offer multiple roles to play.
For the sake of balance all character differences will be mostly cosmetic. You are no better at dispatching attackers as a Soldier class, the reasoning being that your persona is just really bad at fighting.

Tomb Raider:

Shimmying against a wall is counted as a full turn move action.

Legacy of Kain:

Raziel stars in a spin off game, a third person shooter with limited basis in the original story’s continuity.

Kane and Lynch:

No upcoming game planned, however the pair appear as cameos in Tomb Raider, they are used as one of the later level summons.

Deus Ex:

Attempts to make the story appear more open ended and entirely different depending on the choices of the character have been scraped.
Included a scene where the female lead attempts to teach the protagonist how to laugh.

Hitman:

Dude, they totally put Cloud in it.
