I was a Public Relations major in College, and thus had to study much about professionaly lying to people (in the PR field we like to sugarcoat lying by calling it "spin") and product advertisment tactics, so I know all the tricks:lol:

Posted my thoughts on the blog itself. But I'll repost it here...

I've been accused of being an X-Bot (there's another nerdism for you) more times than I care to recall. The funny thing is that I own a PS3, Wii, and 360, so I must be an awfully ignorant X-Bot to have bought a $500 system that I was going to hate on.

The reason that you see the fanboy name getting thrown around so much is because fans of a system (360/PS3/Wii) continue to use the same old arguments against the opposing system and then rail on said system's flaws as OPPRESSIVELY HORRIBLE and UTTER CRAP etc. When someone declares that one of the big three systems are COMPLETE garbage with no redeeming value and everyone who likes them is wrong, that's when they deserve a fanboy sticker slapped on their mouth.

Every time you say something ignorant or stupid because of your love for your game you're fanboism makes me sad. HUH" And yes my definition of a fan boy is something who loves a game/movie (whatever) blindly and he will protect it for whatever may harm its reputation.

Ah yes, this is USUALLY true, but fortunately, it's not always the case. I for an example have fun with idea of people getting angry about people knocking on their console. The truth is, I know there's great games on both consoles. I do prefer my PS3, and I don't care why you think XBox is better... or worse... or the same damn thing! We all have a preference people, whether we admit it or not.
